“Bizarre Love Triangle” is a song by the English band New Order, released as a single in 1986 from their fourth studio album, Brotherhood (1986), which reached the top five on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play Singles chart, and No. 5 on the Australian ARIA Charts (No. 1 on the Victoria state chart) in March 1987.
It failed to make the top 40 in either the United Kingdom (only reaching No. 56) or the US Billboard Hot 100. In the United States, the song also reached the eighth position on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart, but failed to chart on the Hot 100 during its original 1986 release. However, a new mix included on the The Best of New Order was released in 1994 and finally made a brief appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 in the number 98 position in 1995.
In 2004 the song was ranked number 201 in Rolling Stone’s “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”.

Fabulous mixes, in my ears always was a classic, just as a few other singles from New Order are, nobody mentioned True Faith!
Just a little trivia: In the UK it’s called Bizarre Dub Triangle, and in the US I Don’t Care Dub. Legend is that when the master tapes arrived to America from Factory Records in the UK weren’t labeled. People from the american label phoned the band’s manager, Rob Gretton, to ask for the proper name of the song. He just answered “It’s the “I don’t f*****g care dub” and just hang, and the name stick like inside joke…

Wow, what a week. I remember when I bought this record, being slightly disappointed when “I don’t Care” turned out to be a dub version…. still you can’t really go wrong with this one. Classic 80’s party staple. If you still can’t get enough of this song, there is also the particularly nice alternate recording featured on the Married to The Mob soundtrack. It’s nice to see you have more New Order PSB and Electronic…. I wish records like this were still being released today.

This New Order track is a personal favorite, and is a big hit in my book. I do love seeing the occasional big well known 80’s tracks pop up on here. I look forward to hearing these versions of ‘Bizarre Love Triangle”, and if the shorter version is the one I am thinking it is then I am so excited to hear this on vinyl. Love the New Order records Paul, always catchy lyrics and some great mixes by Shep Pettibone and The Latin Rascals (who did a fab remix on Duran Duran’s Notorious). The back of the cover reminds me of the Pet Shop Boys style sleeves (Disco). Blue Monday has always been my favourite and World (The Price Of Love).
