i always liked this band, and thought they were under rated.
their first album and singles were much better than their
second one. they just weren’t able to capture the sound.
and the first album is a classic.
thanks again,

Smooth, cool, laid back and flows forever and ever. 6 min. and not a sec. to long!
What a re-discovery with a superior 80s sounding production.
This mix was their shining moment—such a lush, sensuous mix. It has never felt like it was extended; rather, this version feels more organic than the regular mix, as if this was how it was always meant to sound. All the instruments and arrangements have room to breathe and their own moment in the spotlight, but it never loses pace or feels drawn out. It really is just perfection.
I am really digging the sound quality of this latest setup. 2m bronze stylus plus however you setup the software. Great Stuff! Are you ever planning on putting out 12 inch LPs (full albums)?
Thank you Paul
I’ve been a fan of CKTC since the beginning. Same soulfulness as Level 42. Talented kids…
Such an awesome band! This track is so smooooth!
Their single ‘Free’ is one of my favourites!
Paul – could you be so kind to double check the artwork file. It seems odd across the top – thank you!!!!
Thank you for letting me know AnthonyC. I have changed out the artwork at the top of this post and re-uploaded the files so you can download again if you choose. 🙂
Awesome, thank you very much!
Thank you! One of my favorite “guilty pleasures”. I know back in the day, I felt like they would fill the gap left by the break-ups of groups like Culture Club or Wham; they never managed to get anywhere near that level of success, but still better than the average “boy band” that they were constantly marketed to be. Some of their best songs aren’t A-sides, though- my personal favorite is a deep album cut called “Curiosity Killed The Cat”. “Man”, the B-side to debut single “Misfit” is another standout.
I agree David this is a great band that has been seriously over looked 🙂
One of my favourite singles from this group. Looking forward to hearing the 24bit FLAC.
Thanks Paul 🙂
You’re welcome Junior 🙂
I remember in the mid 90’s when I went to a UK nightclub and Ben Volpeliere-Pierrot was guest DJ.
“Down To earth” Loved this track, I even copied the same style peaked fisherman’s hat as the lead singer, got some funny looks, but hey, it was the 80’s.
Do you happen to have INXS’s Need You Tonight (Mendelsohn Extended Mix) by Julian Mendelsohn (1988).
I will check for you John. Thanks for sharing you memory with us 🙂
Excellent Paul. Thank you!
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
Thanks Paul. This is a great one and the remix is awesome. I love it.
You’re welcome Daniel 🙂
“Shooting stars in midnight pastures and hanging out on clouds beneath the moon”
Classic. Wonderful song. Did not manage to enter the Top20 in Germany, though. Shame.
I liked “Misfit” as well, DTE stands out head and shoulders, though.
Hadn´t heard it in a while. Thank you Paul.
You’re welcome Song_and_Dance. I think “Misfit” was their only charting single in the USA such an over looked band 🙂
So will this be the week of “Sophisti-Pop”? 😉
Great tunes so far!
Kind regards,
Christian
Not sure Christian I have a few things in mind but not set in stone until the needle actually touches the record 🙂
Perfect follow-up to yesterday’s Level 42 single. Oh Paul, I am relishing all of these 12-inch versions because, even me, a dance single aficionado, still haven’t heard a lot of these classic records. Now, thanks to you, I can say that I have. Really looking forward to this song and mix. Hey, like the saying goes: “Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back!” You’re awesome Paul!!
Jeff
Ha ha thank you Jeff. Hope you like the record 😉
