BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1986
“Let’s Go!” is a single by English new wave band Wang Chung. Although the song was on their 1986 album, Mosaic, it didn’t get released as a single until January 6, 1987. The single was a hit for Wang Chung in the United States, and it provided the band with their second (and so far, last) top-10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1987, peaking at #9. The single also formed the basis for a music video. It also hit #9 on the Canada RPM Top 100 Singles chart.
Jack Hues sings the verses of the song, and Nick Feldman sings the bridge. Both sing the chorus.

I haven’t seen this since it’s original release. Thanks for bringing back some great memories Paul.
This is my 2nd favorite Wang Chung song after To Live and Die In LA!
Edits by Latin rascals
Thanks very much Paul.
Thanks Paul. That’s another one I only had as mp3 and now I’m upgraded to loseless! :O)
Have another Wang Chung request…Don’t Be My Enemy (US 12 Inch). I know you have given us the UK 12 Inch but this has a different 12 mix and a different b-side…?
The UK and US mixes of Don’t Be My Enemy are exactly the same mix just different b sides.
How could I forget this Wang Chung single and the master remix work of no other than, Shep Pettibone. Thank you for jogging my memory how much I enjoyed not only this single, but the remix that goes down as one of favorite remixes of all time.
Love this song, thanks for posting!
Btw, the wiki for this song where it says “The single also formed the basis for a music video” doesn’t make any sense. What does that even mean? Lots of singles had videos for promotion during that time, but not every single has a corresponding video. The phrasing is weird English.
My favorite song of theirs. Thanks so much, Paul!
Thanks for this great rip, Paul! I’ve been itching to hear the dub and edit for a very long time. Although I love mixes, I always loved the edit over Shep’s mix. It’s probably the only song that I feel that the edit is so good due to the structure of the song that a remix is tough to pull off.
Anyway, thank you VERY much!
-Fred
Thanks Paul. Wang Chung is a cool and worth listening band. Maybe one day we can listen the early Huang Chung stuff like the “Ti Na Na” 12 inch version or the “Hold Back the Tears” 7″ mix
Thanks again for share this wonderful music!
Julio
Seconded!
The first Wang Chung post with your new pre-amp. I loved the previous singles by them, can’t wait to hear this one too.
Don’t Let Go is probably my favourite by them
Cheers Paul 🙂
Cheers Mark 🙂
Oops i just remembered you posted Fire In The Twilight last month 🙂
Thank you Paul. Every Wang Chung post is welcome. This is another great single by them and the remixes are awesome. The Wang Chung collection is almost complete now.
You’re welcome Daniel 🙂
Hooray for you Paul! And Wang Chung too! I’m thrilled that you’ve ripped this one for our thirsty ears! I can’t wait to hear the dub mix too. I think you’ve posted their entire 12-inch collection, or do you have anymore surprises in your bag of tricks?
I wasn’t sure if you were going to continue with your “Obscure 80’s” run. Last week’s tunes are excellent and I’m really loving them all, so thank you again.
Have a nice day Paul!!
Jeff
Almost there, dear Jeff. I´m only waiting for the “hit version” of Dance Hall Days (8:02) with its AWESOME b-side There Is A Nation. Be prepared and be amazed 🙂
s´n´d
Awesome, Song And Dance! I can’t wait.
Jeff
Hi SND…what is the “hit version” that clocks in at 8:02? There is the “Remix” at 8:11 that Paul has posted already on To Live And Die In L.A. (UK 12″). There is also the 7:22 Extended version that has been posted and it easily available on cd. There are a few other remixes but nothing near 8 mins.
If you have a link on Discogs, please let us know. 🙂
Hi Fred
I let myself get fooled. The label of the original 12inch gives 8:02 as the running time but it´s the same version as that one on the “Live And Die” 12inch.
I was going to do another “Totally Obscure 80s” week Jeff but decided that I did not want to tire everyone out, so I will do another week soon. I have lots of Obscure stuff so there is plenty of time to spread them out 🙂
Thank you Paul! 🙂
You’re welcome villah 🙂
Yay! Finally! The one I’ve been waiting for. Thank you so much Paul!
You’re welcome Gareth 🙂
Always great to find a Wang Chung 12inch here, Paul. Funnily enough, I only just noticed that my German edition 12inch has a different bonus track: To Live And Die In LA. The three mixes of Let´s Go are the same. That´s quite odd, isn´t it? Well, anyway. Another great song by a great band. And another great upload in great quality 🙂
There is another US 12″ that has “Betrayal (LP Version)” as the b-side very strange.
Thanks Paul. I would love to have all the WC 7”/12” mixes.
you’re welcome.
