Thank you Paul. Another vinyl can be given a new home.
Thanks Paul, excellent musical theme, grateful.
Paul!! Whoa!! Loved this song, especially the 12-inch vocal mix. The house mixes were okay too, but they do seem to sound a bit dated. Sometimes trends don’t make a record timeless at all. But that vocal version is the best. Thank you for introducing a wonderful Tina Turner song my way! Just phenomenal!!
Jeff
One of the greats in the business. So much energy in her performances. Many of her much younger female colleagues don’t even come close. Watched a lotta footage from the 70s in a documentary, she was hot! Glad she had so much success later in her career, couldn’t watch her autobiographic movie ’till the end, that Ike Turner dude was such a disgusting character! That’s some nice mixes, didn’t hear it before, or forgot (brain run out of memory) LOL. I’ll go with the so 80s sounding 12″ vocal mix, a fabulous extension of a great song. Thanks Paul for this awesome post! I love this song and I can’t wait to hear the mixes!
Thank you very much dear Paul for this Tina’s single!
P.S. And I want to congratulate you with Olivia’s Birthday! In the depths of my soul I hoped that on this special day you will prepare for us her single 😉
Zero visibility!
An interesting thing I learned one day whilst doing extensive research on Ms Turner, was that Mark Knopfler wrote the song Private Dancer. But more surprising is the fact that he wrote it for Dire Straits – it was only after he’d finished it he realised it was written from a female point of view and so they couldn’t use it. I am always baffled by this feat.
Anyway, thanks for posting Steamy Windows Paul, you’re simply the best. 🙂
Justin Strauss never disappoints, for me anyway.
I’m loving these House treats. Thanks Paul 🙂
Believe it or not Paul, but I was just discussing Tina Turner with somebody today where I work. I made a CD courtesy of your great rips and called it “Tina’s Club.” She asked if this was Tina Turner and of course I had to relate to her all the phenomenal music here on Burning The Ground. It’s so cool that you’ve given us another Tina gem!! Many, many thanks for this one Paul. Tina Turner never disappoints!!
Jeff
You’re welcome Jeff 🙂
