Oh My God Paul!! Thank you so much!

This HAS to be one of her best recordings, the Steve Silk Hurley mix especially.

You rock!

Paul is adding more and more bonuses to his vinyl rips. Will be cool to see full releases of Razormaid and Hot-Tracks compilations too!

I love these bonus mixes Paul! You’ve given them to us in the past, like the great Disconet mix of Irene Cara’s “Fame” and a few more. It fleshes out your 12-inch postings. You really are incredible for your generosity. I so love EVERYTHING you do. This is my favorite place on the World Wide Web, hands down!! Thank you for leaving your mark in our hearts!!

Hugs!!!

Jeff

Steve “Silk” Hurley has my greatest respect, I got a lot of 12″ with his house remixes.
But originally Love Pains is a fantastic disco song, so a disco-funk remix with much heavier beats would be more to my liking!
The Razormaid mix is a good extended edit, considering he didn’t have the stems, but the vast credit by far goes to the PSB production!

I always wondered why so many remixers and fans really dig the rhythmbox/digital percussions as those mostly come in prepact consoles. Buy one !-) Not particular judging this track – but it reminded me of.. Though I do like tribal house and dub versions on b-sides that have a life of their own. But clublife can be so much more interesting if it wasn’t for so much of the same beats and loops over different popsingles. Sometimes an original extended would’ve sufficed. (yes thank you psb!) She looks fab though. Almost like a Warhol-snapshot remixed for the 90’s. Extended to… Read more »

Massive thanks for this Paul. Really excited about the razormaid remix on this. Away from home at the moment, but looking forward to hearing it when I get back. I have the razormaid remix of Don’t Drop Bombs on a This is only a Test CD and I have a rare megatrax remix of Love Pains by Yvonne Elliman. The quality on the vinyl isn’t brilliant but it’s a real awesome mix. Anyway thanks again Paul for all you do and the huge pleasure you bring. With hugs…

FYI, there was a recent second or is it third re-release of this album in the UK that contains the original album along with 2 cd’s of pretty much all the remixes from singles.

Instead of CD 3 dedicated to only remixes (9 of them!) of Don’t Drop Bombs, they could have included remixes of other songs. They are out there.

I am so thrilled for this Liza Minnelli 12-inch as I am not familiar with the Steve “Silk” Hurley mixes. I can’t wait to check it out when I get home. And massive thanks for the Razormaid mix too!! Art Maharg does a wonderful job on his mix. People are really gonna enjoy this extra bonus from you Paul!!

Have a nice day!!

Paul, thanks so much for including the Razormaid mix on your rip of “Love Pains.” I did enjoy the Hurley mixes somewhat, but Art did such a brilliant job with his mix. There’s energy for days and those cool sound effects, and I had to laugh when I heard the crack of the whip after Liza said, love pains!! Incredible job by the great Art Maharg. I miss him so much. Him and Joseph were an unstoppable pair.

Oh Paul, you obviously took a deep breath over your well-deserved weekend and started the new week with your foot full on the throttle. Great song by Yvonne Elliman, great production by the Pet Shop Boys, Liza´s adorable voice and a great edit by Razormaid. I didn´t know the Hurley remixes and do not really care for them – the Razormaid Remix, though, makes me pump up the volume and dance in my living room.
What a way to start the week. Thank you!

It took several listens before I fell in love with these mixes. Hurley turns them upside down & inside out. I especially love the house mixes. I’ve heard a few extended versions of the album mix and thought they didn’t really add much to it. The album version is a great pop song – concise and sweet. For me, heavenly, as it is my fave track on the album. I would start with the Deep House Pains mix & let the groove swirl around in your head. If I was putting together a remix version of Results, I would slip… Read more »
