Thank you Paul
All your rips sound harsh as fuk & very ‘boom sizzle’ with fake plasticky mids, because U sample 2 high (increases jitter) then force uneven ratio downsampling (96Khz to 44.1Khz). Get yourself a Dell OptiPlex 755 MT PC or a Sony TAE2000ESD & a toslink card 2 feed the PC, & sample everything in 48Khz 16 bit integer (not ‘float’) with NO dithering = best sound BY FAR! =) Going higher sample rate or ‘float’ will only make things sound WORSE, and avoiding 44 altogether helps accommodate the infinite sea of GARBAGE hardware out there that FORCES 48 regardless, &… Read more »
Shamefully underrated group.. The previous album had what I suspect was there closest breakthrough since Closest thing to heaven was on that one.. That did fairly good in Europe.. Of course a thank you Paul is also in place for your excellent selections…
Thanks for this track. This is an absolute classic. Belongs in that club of great songs that never charted well. Other songs in that club include:
Love and Money – Hallelujah Man
Paris – Another Sad Affair
Clive Griffin – Don’t Make Me Wait
(and many more!)
Just gotta love the music from the 80s. This sounds so fresh and vibrant, something that seems to be lacking in so much of today’s music. Thank you.
Thank you Paul!, I used to have this 12″ and stupidly sold it… doh!… “The Cruising” version is the best version of this tune IMO. I don’t say “thank you” as much as I should, so thanks for keeping your site a fun treasure chest.
Thank you so much! I loved The Kane Gang and was always surprised they didn’t become a bigger deal (or, really, any sort of deal at all).
Hello Paul. First of all tank you for posting exquisite music. One after another in an endless basis. Second, just to tell you that the DL links work fine for me (from one day to another). I’m happy.
Hugs to you,
Ezequiel
That’s great news Ezequiel 🙂

Oh Paul, you just let your light shine so strong!! This is such a Summery song and it puts me in such a happy place. Hey, all of these past singles are so exquisite. I feel like I’m transported to a wondrous place full of good vibes and all. Thanks for choosing this single to go along with the past few days of sunshine-y jams!! Cutting Crew, and today…Wow!… What a great song of 1987!… I have the Maxi Cd single (Kitchenware records UK) that contains the video-clip (CDV).
Many thanks for this fantastic song, in 24 bits sound, Amazing.
Best Regards.
You’re welcome Eduardo 🙂
OH YES! Day two of ‘everything I’ve been wanting’! LOL! Seriously, thank you for this one Paul. I recently picked up a 2CD best of by the Kane Gang, for their short lived span of music. Specifically for the b-side of this 12’er etc. As for this 12 inch, I ripped it from one of the better ‘youtube’ versions out there, so this will be an ace replacement!
That’s great Rob. I really hope you enjoy it 🙂
