I too can’t wait for your opinion of this track Mothloop. I mean, you, who have one of the greatest names (after a Shriekback record too!!) has exquisite tastes. Hope you do enjoy this!!

Whoa!!! Paul!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! This is downright THRILLING!!! I can’t believe this song is here!! I haven’t heard this since 1983, back in college!!! Talk about nostalgia. What a trip!! When Thomas Dolby hit the scene, I was a bit obsessed with the man. He even did something with Whodini and their “Magic’s Wand” single. But this was such a compelling record. I don’t know of anyone who knows this except you!! I’m hoping other’s will chime in with memories of the record too. All I remember is that the mixes are EPIC!! Such a treat DjPaulT. I can’t… Read more »

Epic is right Paul!! Just listened to these mixes and, oh my, does it take me back to my youth. Gosh, would love to hear this in a club on a banging sound system. I would get totally lost in its sounds. Wow, I wish a remix service would do a mix combining all the best parts. Love that guitar!! I immediately thought of Bananarama’s “Venus” when it played. Loved the kid spelling out the word on the album version. Just phenomenal Paul. Ooh, and the sound you’ve extracted with your current “technology” makes this a real winner. Should have… Read more »

Paul you are so right when you say that “hopefully BTG can revive them a bit.” That is one of the beauties about you and your site because you give lost and obscure records a second chance to touch people’s lives. Whether they be old fans or new, it doesn’t matter, only that there’s an outlet for these great tracks and the people behind them who made them. I’m so hoping others will comment and give their impressions of this. I get so excited when I hear that people like what I like. I don’t really like being alone in… Read more »

Thanks Paul. I thought Thomas Dolby’s only other band prior to being a solo artist was Bruce Woolley & The Camera Club, apart from being a session musician with various artists as well.
