Hi, is there any chance this can be reuploaded please?
My first time hearing them Paul. Great track and makes me want to hear more from them. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much Paul.
Never heard of this before but really enjoying it 🙂 With the Belle’s slimmed down to three the 3 part harmonies sound a little Bananarama’ish.
Love me a bit of Shep too 🙂
Thanks Paul
Wonderful to see another Belle Stars post. Such catchy singles from them.
Looking forward to hearing this, Thanks Paul:)
Enjoy Junior 🙂
Thank you so much, Paul. You totally made my day and I’m very grateful.
you’re welcome Kurt B. Reighley 🙂
Great track. Love it, thanks for another fine rip Paul!
you’re welcome Thomas 🙂
So funny … this came up on shuffle play the other day and I said (to myself), “I wonder if this has ever appeared on Burning the Ground?”
This mix did come out on a segued CD called Hit That Perfect Beat ! Vol. 2 on Oglio literally 20 years ago, but it’s great to have this version without the segue overlaid on it.
Oh Wow, thanks for bringing up this wonderful compilation VanceMan. I have both volumes and it’s so wonderful that Paul has a lot of these tracks in excellent quality on his site. I can’t believe it’s been this long. Paul is every musical wish of mine come true and it’s so great that he has some of the best music fans around commenting on his site.
Jeff
Yessss! I was so sad to see this missing from the “Complete” CD collection. Many thanks, Paul!
you’re welcome Tim 🙂
Did I trigger an eye-thing with an earlier comment I made perhaps? I’m sure those Belles were merely playing with black and white :-0
By the way, I did not recognize this sound as a Belle Stars thing. A bit generic for my taste – but who am I to judge, I got spoiled with the first ep as an introduction to them. Thanx for all the opportunities to get to learn different ways outside of my box, Paul 😉
You’re welcome Dirk 🙂
Another exclusive mix courtesy of Burning The Ground! Whoa, I’m in Heaven, again and again and again!! Delighted to have a mix by Shep with editing from Albert. Paul, you are exquisite in your choices. Here, it’s a rainy day and I can’t wait until work to end, when I see this great posting by you. You really make me smile with what you do. You’re the best.
Many Thanks!
Jeff
You’re welcome Jeff 🙂
Great Paul!
Why is the cover wrong,
with the English credit of the remix by Paul Hardcastle
and the B side with “Just a minute” and “Rock me to the top”?
Thanks.
I think MCA Records had already printed the sleeve and then decided to change the mix at the last minute without updating the sleeve. These mixes are exclusive to this 12″.
My vinyl copy is just the same. I remember getting it as a promo back in ’86. Always wondered what the Paul Hardcastle version would’ve sounded like! This track deserved to be a huge crossover hit. Too bad it ended up being one of their last releases. 🙁
Thank you, Paul.
Thanks Paul. This is great. My favorite singles by them were Indian Summer and Sweet Memory.
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
