“Underneath the Radar” is a single by Underworld released in 1988 from the album Underneath the Radar. It was featured prominently in the fifth season premiere of Miami Vice, during the opening aerial shots of Miami and subsequent nightclub shootout. On the singles charts, it reached number 5 in Australia, number 2 in South Africa, number 14 in New Zealand and number 74 in the United States.

The Morse code in the first 30 seconds of the song reads “Think global, act local”.

“Pearl in the Shell” is the fourth and final single released by musician Howard Jones from the album Human’s Lib. Released in May 1984, the song reached number seven on the UK Singles Chart. It features a saxophone solo by Davey Payne of Ian Dury’s band The Blockheads.

Unlike Jones’ previous singles, the 12″ single edition did not feature an extended mix of the main track, though a nearly 9 minute remixed version did appear on the US 12″ promo which has never appeared on CD. A 6 minute mix did appear on the 12″ album.

“Life In One Day” was the third single from Howard Jones’ 1985 album Dream Into Action, an uptempo number, which lyrically warned against wishing one’s life away. It reached #14 in the UK Singles Chart, and #19 on the United States Billboard Hot 100.

Produced by Rupert Hine “The Flyer” became a respectable radio hit for the band peaking at #19 on the US mainstream rock chart and #79 on the hot 100 in November 1983.
