Thank you Paul. 🙂
These two 12″ of “Music that You Can Dance To” sound superb! Thank you!
I wonder if you had the 12″ of “Fingertips”? It was the second single from their 1986 “Music that You Can Dance To” album.
The 7″ Mix of “Fingertips” was never released in CD format (to my knowledge), and it is very. very hard to find!
Cool to see more mixes posted of this Sparks tune.
Thanks Paul 🙂
Thanks again Paul!
So glad that you were able to dig this one out, Paul! Thank you for sharing!!!
A taste test with yesterday’s posting! Love both variants! Thank you.
This one is the mix I prefer as well. It is interesting to compare though. Thanks as always!
This is the remix by two members of the Belgian electronic band Telex. The album (and this song) was recorded in their studio in Brussels.
Telex is an amazing band and incredulously unknown outside Belgium and France. Their closest brush with history was as the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980. Their biggest Club Hit was Moskow Diskow. My favourite track of theirs is Spike Jones, in the 12 inch version of course.
Wow Paul! This Club Version is the better mix for me. This is really an hypnotic mix that we can wonderfully dance to. Thank you so much Paul for sharing both club mixes. I’m with Jeff. You really “make the world a better place because of you and your amazing postings of dance records”. We are so lucky to have this wonderful place that is Burning The Ground. I will be forever thankful.
I prefer the “Club Version” also Daniel. Thank you so much 🙂
This is the version I first heard of “Music That You Can Dance To” Paul!! Thank you for including it on your site because I was going mad thinking of a different mix than the one you posted. As I’m getting older, mixes seem to go in and out of my mind all the time. I like to call it “Dance Disc Dementia” because I can’t keep up with all my memories and the record collection I have. You really come forth with these gems Paul. Like a commenter said yesterday that this record was the furthest thing from his… Read more »
I appreciate you so much, Jeff. Thank you 🙂
