“Planet Nine” is the debut single by American singer, composer and musician Nick John (Born Nickolas Johnathan Kovaleski). The single was released on Megatone Records when Nick was just 22 years old. In the Billboard magazine issue dated December 13, 1986 “Planet Nine” was listed as the #6 breakout dance track for that week.

PAUL!!! First, welcome back and I’m so happy your Mom came through the surgery alright. Please give her my well-wishes. And now for this: I AM SO EXCITED THAT YOU POSTED THIS RECORD!! Nick John was quite a force to be reckoned with. I remember reading about him in the old trade publication, Dance Music Report. This photo was posted and he really is a handsome lad. Mom is doing well she is still in the hospital I suspect possibly for the remainder of the week. After that posting may be interrupted because she will come to stay with me for a few days to further recuperate. I always loved Nick John and I have all of his releases I remember buying this record at Sound Warehouse just for the cover alone but the music is Wow! He is a lot like Patrick Cowley they both wrote and played their own music. Not sure where Nick John is today I have been unable to find out.
