“Musicfan Says:

“I am not a number… I am a free man!”

————————————————————————————————-

Just in case no-one understand my last post – the above dialogue was from the classic 1960s British tv show The Prisoner. A secret agent is captured and placed in the mysterious ‘village’. His real name is not permitted. His captors call him: ‘Number Six’.

The Prisoner was filmed in Portmeirion, Wales, Great Britain – and this remix is called The Prisoner (The Portmeirion Mix). 🙂

One of my ALL TIME favourite HoJo tracks.

The combination of pop, rock and synth with a catchy melody is outstanding!

Great track, great remix, from a great album and phenomenal artist!!!

Holly shit, I’ve never heard of this 12” and it’s one of the Howard Jones songs I like the most, in my opinion with certain reminiscences of Duran Duran. Many thanks once again, Paul!

I´m astonished how old this song is. Believe it or not, I first heard it on HJ´s fabulous “Shepherd´s Bush live” double dvd which was released in 2005! Great song with a very nice remix.
Thank you, Paul.

Awesome! Sorry to be repetitive but more HoJo please! How about ‘New song’? Never seen that on this wonderful site! And / or re-rips of the 12″ from 2012 and the 3 from 2013? I know you’ve improved your ripping a lot in the last 5 years. Many thanks and have a great weekend!

This takes me back, I think this was the second CD single I ever bought. The keyboard guitar solo in the middle always reminded me of Owner of the Lonely Heart.

Again and again and again, Paul, you keep on delivering all the best records!! I love how you pay so much attention to your readers’ wishes and try hard to eventually get to everyone’s requests. You really astound me with what you have and showcase here. Oh and hey, just like Pete Burns says, “I Want Surprises!” that’s what you’re all about. Like the Jellybean version of “Adult Education.” I only knew the version from the “12-Inch Collection” but here you go (again) pulling out all the stops to tickle our musical fancies. I love this week so very, very… Read more »
