Thank you very much for posting this gem. I would really appreciate it if you could get “Persona non gratta” from this same album.
Please continue with such good contributions !!!

Wow Paul what a fantastic week going on! Thanks a lot. I love Gino Vannelli and this single is taken from one of my very favourite LP “Big dreamers never sleep”. There are so much beautiful songs on it. I’m still thrilled by the ballad “Something tells me”. I wonder if you also have the remix of “Persona non grata”. The german release which I own also contains an extended remix of “In the name of money”.

Paul, I’m in worship mode once again!! You can certainly pick tunes that impact me physically, emotionally and spiritually!! I am under this record’s spell all because of you. I really liked the way Song_and_Dance described the piece as being mature, cool, relaxed and swinging. It really haunts me. I need to delve into Gino’s back catalog for sure. This song creates images in me that are quite strong that it’s a bit hard to put into words. I so wish others would have commented on it. This music moves one’s imagination. You know, after I heard your rip, Karen… Read more »

Oh Paul. You made a young(ish) man very happy. Another one, to be exact 🙂 I am not so much into Gino´s seventies stuff but I LOVE LOVE LOVE “Wild horses”. “Black Cars” was a much bigger hit over here but “Wild Horses” was so much mature. Relaxed, cool, swinging and still it always makes me melancholic when I listen to it. I have the twelve inch with a different sleeve (mostly white with a much smaller version of the photo in the bottom right corner) but the versions are identical. Oooooh, just thinking of the song makes me shiver… Read more »

Song_and_Dance,

Your description of this track was perfect. Actually, I wasn’t familiar with the 12-inch version at all, but it really stays with me. What a feel this track has. Incredible.

Have a very nice day and weekend Song_and_Dance!

I got so excited seeing Gino Vannelli come right into view. I loved his ballads and his other great singles, like “Black Cars” so this is a very welcome sight Paul. I, again, can’t help by marvel at you and your tastes. They are absolutely perfect. And, of course, I can always rely on the stellar fidelity you present these songs in. I am so impressed, actually, I’m in awe of you Paul. You are incredibly special. Thank you tremendously for everything.

Cheers,

Jeff
