Just curious… Did you purchase this new? I’ve never heard of them before! I’m a big fan of synth and new-wave 80s though 🙂

Love this short-lived band, thanks to Sire’s Just Say Yes series. My absolute favorite is their cover of You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet. Thanks for introducing me to even earlier material, Paul!

WOW! this is one of those…’you mean other people have heard of them?’ moments! loved this band, have their self-titled CD! I think I have some remixes somewhere too! now I’m off to the archives to see what I can load onto my iPhone! Thanks for this rare gem and memory-inducing post!

Thanks ! It’s a very rare 12″ , Figures was very popular in Brazil in the 80s , even the 12 club versions of you never seen nothing yet have appeared in some compilations of pop & dance in vinyl ! Sorry for my english , I Speak Portuguese

figures on a beach a group that in my country was not heard much but "Gloria" was played in discos. but with the song that they burst it was "you aint seen nothing yeat" that song and the remix of justin strauss was the top 1989 in various discos, amplifications, radios and dance events

IMHO this is the best FoaB song ever made – with the radio version of Accidentally 4th Street (Gloria) being a close second. Perhaps it’s because I heard this 2 years before they released their first album (incl. No Stars, A Pagan Gift) – and 4 years before their self-titled album (incl. Accidentally 4th Street, (Don’t Make Me) Nervous, and the Bachman Turner Overdrive cover) – so I feel like I knew about FoaB… Read more »
