Paul, I am floored!

One of my all-time fave 12″ mixes… and now, finally, in pristine digital format (and a lovingly ripped DjPaulT highest-quality version, no less!)

Thank you!

Hugs,

Mark Z

Not WEINER Blut, “Wiener Blut”, it means something like blood of vienna i think.

yes, it’s “wiener blut”, meaning viennese blood or vienna blood or blood of vienna.

there is also a world famous waltz with this name by johann strauss (from 1873), clearly an inspiration for the title (after other falco songs which also lent heavily from austrian cliches and heritage, like “rock me amadeus”, “the sound of musik” etc.) 🙂

It was a US only single released as the last single of Falco’s to be issued in the US.

Oops I meant second to last single. This song, like the single before it “Weiner Blut” were only released in the US as 12″ singles.

I so love the stuff that’s new to my ears Paul. Always liked the song “Do It Again” by Steely Dan and that great mashup by Clubhouse “Do It Again/Billie Jean” so I am amped up to hear this cover by Falco. Great to know he is more than “Rock Me Amadeus.” Also, keen to hear the edits by Chep Nunez on Shep’s mixes.

Thanks again Paul!!

Jeff
