Nice
I haven’t heard this jam in so many years I forgot how good it is. I didn’t know this title and vocalist was the name of it. Thank you for bringing back a good memory for me and a song that would have been lost to me if you hadn’t played it for me again DJ Paul.
Very good version, theme that leads me to remember the beps of the eighties versions, thanks
Prime example of why it pays to visit Burning the Ground! Hadn’t heard this one since back in the day! Thanks!
Wow! This is amazing! I totally forgot about this song, but gave it a listen and now have a great memory of how much I loved this song (had no idea who it was). Thanks for sharing! Also, really want to let you know I’m so glad to see that you’re doing better and back online. Stay healthy!
This brings back memories, Paul. The first time I heard it I was listening to the Ben Liebrand Grand Mix of 1987 which I still have as a bootleg 12-Inch. Such a cool song. I love “Joy and Pain” as well and, of course, “Can We Talk” of which I have a copy which is quite worn. Great songs altogether!
Wow – have never heard this song before but recognised the ‘You sure make me feel like loving you’ sample – that was used in a massive 90s club hit here which still gets played today (on retro stations, lol). Did that track make it to the US, Paul?
Woooow gracias Pault
De Nada, Carlos 🙂
You read my mind with this one. Last weekend I was looking for the single of this or a LP version I could edit. None could be found in lossless, only mp3. I’d like to share a story that was told to me long ago. While I was interviewing for a job, the interviewer asked me about organization. When I mentioned my rather large music library and categorizing it, I got the job, but he asked me if I had this song in my library. He proceed to tell me the story of how he wore out the cassette single… Read more »
Great story Philip, thanks for sharing. Glad you got the job 🙂
Congratulations! for the work Paul. I am interested in downloading discs that are no longer available. Could you share it again? Thanks
I have been re-ripping a lot of them 🙂
GAWD! I have not heard this in *ages* … possibly since the ’80s … yet I’m so aware of the ’90s song that samples and interpolates it: “U Sure Do” by Strike … that’s played a lot in my world (#1 on the UK Dance Chart). Thanks for the thrills!
You’re welcome, Richard 🙂
Holy smokes! I haven’t heard this song since the 80s! I LOVED it back in the day and it’s one of the very few 12″s I didn’t purchase. It got a LOT of airplay in CT back then. I just went and purchased her Perfect Timing cd on Amazon (I love to support every artist here) and it has the bonus Delirious mix which is pretty sweet.
Thanks for the awesome rip, great memory, and definitely great track of the mid 80s!!
I knew this would be one you would like Fred I actually” thought of you while I was working on it. I don’t think the CD has the “Dub Version” which is mixed by the same folks who did the “Delirious mix”. Enjoy 🙂
You are correct…no dub but your rips are pristine! Thanks again for all your hard work!
Hi Paul. Wow, I don’t think I know this one and it has me stumped. However, I must say I am intrigued. Can’t wait to check it out later on. Whether I know it or not, hearing anything by you is such a treat.
Jeff
Hope you like it 🙂
