Die Krupps & Nitzer Ebb – The Machineries Of Joy (Germany 12″ Picture Disc)

BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1989

REQUEST

“The Machineries Of Joy” is a 1989 collaboration between German industrial metal/EBM band Die Krupps and British EBM group Nitzer Ebb. The collaboration became a hit on the U.S. dance charts peaking at #25.

Both remixes featured here are exclusive to this picture disc and a rare German 12″ promo and never available on CD.

**As with most picture discs the sound quality is usually not very good and the discs were mainly used as collector items. This picture disc is no exception although in beautiful near mint condition. I have tried my best to present theses rare versions in the best possible quality considering the source.

Was just occasionally confronted with EBM, like, Front 242 – Headhunter (pun intended), but get the occasional stiff neck headbanging to other heavy stuff!

Not a collector, but got a few picture disc, indeed they sound terrible :(. With an exception, the chart-topping smash by Yazz & The Plastic Population – The Only Way Is Up. Which comes in blue transparent vinyl!

OMG. I had this 12” (the black vinyl one) back in the day. It got ruined with the rest of my vinyl in a flood in the basement! I was devastated! Thanks so much for this!

Since my tastes run the gamut from pure pop bliss to the darker realms of dance music, I always get a sudden jolt of adrenalin whenever I see a record that I would never have dreamed seeing on your site Paul!! I LUST after EBM and Industrial music!! I am so grateful to the person who requested this one!! I love hard beats and you always deliver. I can’t wait to crank this one up tonight!! I can already feel the blood run to my groin!!!

Great post, Paul! You make me remember of my youth. This reminds me of early EBM-Parties in Berlin in early 90s. Best time of my life
