Nice! Such a great song… I still listen to their first two albums monthly. Thanks a bunch Paul!
This song is a good example of the unsurpassed quality of a large part of the musical productions of the 80’s.
THANKS!!
Also, folks…the cd/LP mix is 5:32 and quite nice…
Hello Paul ….. I left you a Facebook message but either you did not see or you do not usually reply to messages …. I was wondering if you can get me “Melissa Manchester – Energy (Power Mix) 12” …. I am desperate looking for it but on the net there is only one version in youtube full of noises and clicks …. I would be thankful already.
Ps. About “Counting Crew” another great post … Tanks
Hi Lostryder you just messaged me less than 54 hours ago on Facebook you have to give me time to respond. I will see what I can regarding your request.
ok Paul….tanks
Thanks for that, Paul!
This is a great choice for publication. Modern re-mastering is evil. Only the smooth sound of vinyl and early CD.

Is it possible to hear that diamond?

I do not remember this song at all, hmmm, so strange I’ve never heard it before… but I do like it a lot, thanks for posting.
I also liked the ‘Boys Club’ song you posted before this one, they definitely remind me of Wham!
Thanks Paul
What a treat! I’ve been looking for this one for a while now, and your transfer does not disappoint! This “Extended Version” was missing from the 2010 Cherry Pop reissue of “Broadcast”, which, actually, should have been expanded to two CDs, instead of just an expanded single disc edition. A handful of other mixes were absent from that reissue.
Thank you!!!
Wow missing this! Thank you Paul!
Excelente Pault, la que faltaba de Cutting…. Gracias.
What a single! I agree with you Paul; It should have been a US #1.
Still, I’m sure the songwriters are happy with royalties 😉
Wow, all these songs posted in the past week I’m not sure I’ve heard before. My internet is limited to my phone for now, and I havent been able to download anything… when I get a chance soon I will post about all the past weeks worth of songs on an upcoming post of your Paul. If I go back and post comments on past songs I’m afraid you may not see it… so will plan to post any reviews or comments of current posts only, even if it’s regarding past posts. Am I making sense? LOL, anyways, thanks for… Read more »
Memoryboy, you can post on old posts I get a notification email. I try to respond when I can. Hope that you like all that has been posted. 🙂
I am amazed someone like Westlife didn’t do a cover of this.
Yeah I could see that 🙂
Thanks so much, Paul! I’ve been looking for this mix for a long time. It was rarely played at the time (my hunch because it was a ballad) but I remember it so vividly before playing your work!
Have a great day!
You’re welcome Fred. This really is a brilliant mix that would have been a fun alternative for radio to play. Enjoy it 🙂
Oh Paul, another fabulous single!! I am so thrilled that there is an extended version to this. You are miraculous!!
Loving It All!!
Jeff
Thank you Jeff. Love this mix 🙂
EXCELLENT! Thank you so much Paul! This has been in my ‘discogs’ want list for some time now, but shipping from the UK is so expensive, so I’ve waited…and waited to buy it. Really looking forward to adding this one to my files. I agree with Omar, one of my faves by them as well. Thanks again!
I hear you Rob shipping is outrageous. I am glad I had it to share. Enjoy 🙂
Great single. Pity it wasn’t as big in Europe as it was in the US. Thanks for this nice post.
It was big in the US #9 but it should have been a #1 😉
My favorite single by them. Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
