Wow. I have been looking for years for the extended version of ‘Let It Loose’. It was on a DJ mix tape from the bar I worked at in the 80’s, took me forever to find the artist back in the day [no internet back then!]. I did finally get the LP, but never got ahold of the 12 inch version. Time to dig out the cassette player again…thanks Paul!

O dear that is one bad edit on side one. Fortunately it features my favourite Chris Rea 12 Inch on the B Side

What an amazing post! Paul I’m so happy to get your crystal clean rip of these rare mixes. I love the early singles of Chris Rea and most of the 12″ mixes have not been issued on CD. This remix of “I can hear your heartbeat” has only been released in Canada. In Europe we only had the original 12″ version and was much shorter (5:49). With this post you make another dream coming to reality. Right now I’m extremely happy. I can never thank you enough.

What a resource you are Paul giving us rare and this case, unknown to me, 12-inches by interesting artists. Really looking forward to checking this one out later on today. I’m so sorry I haven’t been around much. I have been out-of-sorts and haven’t been able to stop by. Halloween, my favorite holiday, I unfortunately missed because of illness, but am getting the chance to check out what you posted today. Thank you Paul for sharing the passion for Halloween with all of us. You know, I definitely appreciate it. I still feel not quite myself, but I’m trying. I… Read more »

Great stuff…thanks very much for this. Do you have any more Chris Rea extended versions by any chance? Unfortunately Stefano is right; you don’t seem to see Chris Rea’s 12″ mixes on cd.

A very welcome post. Many older Chris Rea 12 inches are nowhere to be found on CD.
Thanks Paul, great surprise.
