Thanks a lot Paul, really love this vinyl and its mixes <3
sooo Clivillés & Cole music factory at they’re best !!!
After clicking through to look at the Discogs listing, I noticed that I already have this version, as the UK exclusive DMC remix 12″ features it. my fellow commenters make the dub mix sound very interesting, though!
Played the heck out of the original while DJing the military enlisted clubs, Knew of these but was never able to obtain these mixes. Thanks for the preview.
I was looking for this song for the last two days, not finding it in the best quality, today I pay my daily visit to your site and of course Paul, you read my mind (as always) and post this…
Thank you so much for making my week!
P.S.: By the way, In 2006 Bob Sinclair has made, in my opinion, a superlative mix (Rock This Party) based on this song, I played it on my wedding and it was a dance explosion!
Great memories from this track,
thanks for the upload Paul.
What. LOVE IT. The stereo mix is so wide on these! I had no idea this existed. I played my old CD-maxi of this to death. Thank you.
You’re welcome on Lorenz 🙂
I can’t even listen to their stuff. What they did to Martha Wash was despicable and it’s no surprise their careers went straight into the toilet after everything was revealed. Their second and third albums were commercial bombs. I’ll never forget when rapper Freedom Williams stated in a MTV interview the reason they didn’t have Martha Wash in the videos was because no one wants to see a “fat” singer on TV. Pathetic!
Well…
Martha Wash won the case in court. To match their first album was almost unattainable but the real reason why they were never the same was because David Cole passed away and Robert Clivilles literally couldn’t get over his partner’s death. They’ were a team.
Martha’s vocals were also used un-credited by Black Box too.
Yes they were. That Black Box team used vocals from many divas like Kym Mazelle and Holloway. Being from out of the States made a very hard case to take them to court. During that era, sampling was out of control.
Yes Black Box was just as awful.
Thank you Paul for responding to my request. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time from you because nobody can rip vinyl like you can and I know everyone reading this will agree with me. You are the best!!!
You’re welcome Sergio. Enjoy! 🙂
Sergio,
Thanks for requesting Paul to rip this!! You have done all of us here a HUGE FAVOR!!! I am babbling like a baby and almost peeing myself over this boombastic piece of vinyl. And that DjPaulT is a GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeff
I have great memories of this classic C&C tune. I’m not aware of these versions but I just know I’m gonna love them.
Thanks Paul 🙂
You’re welcome Junior 🙂
Guilty pleasure and a classic from the days I first ‘started’ revolving vinyl. I think I still have, like, 4 copies of this somewhere! You know, for that massive extended break and dub that kept my mix of it strong for 15+ minutes…lol! Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome RA 🙂
Thanks, Paul! This is another classic example of the Dub being better than the main Remix. 😉 I remember so vividly when I got this 12″ from my Sony/Epic rep when I was deejaying in college…went back to the dorm (I was on top floor…7th floor) and absolutely cranked the Dub starting at 3:53 to 4:49. You could see the heads bobbing across campus. I later looped portions of this 1 minute segment for an ESPN College Cheerleading Competition our school was in…using Creative Labs’ sound card software. Loooooooong before any kind of WAV editing software was born. I even… Read more »
You’re welcome Fred. Thank you for sharing your great memories with us 🙂
Paul, this is fantastic! Thank you. I had no idea these mixes existed. What a treat. And, as always, great rip. Love C&C Music Factory – they had a truly epic debut album – and run of great hits in the 90s.
They were epic MusicMan3 so many hits nut just for themselves but so many other artists too. Enjo! 🙂
Epic is an understatement…especially for portions of the Dub. If you had been in a club with thousands of watts of power cranking this it was insane.
And yes…before and after C&C Music Factory was born you could find top artists remixed by “Clivilles and Cole”. I wasn’t a huge fan of every “house mix” they did but in general they were well enjoyed by the House fans.
I’m holding on tight Paul!! I know this song very well and actually, the original is one of my favorite dance songs of all time. Now, I am shaking and quaking now at my desk, because I’ve never heard these mixes before. How cool is this!! You are truly amazing in what you give us.
I Can’t WAIT!!!
Jeff
These mixes are slammin’ hot Jeff guaranteed to melt all the snow. Lots of fun stereo effects sirens and heartbeats. Love these mixes!! 🙂
Hell Yes!! These mixes are fierce, ferocious and fantastic, Paul!!! Unbelievable!! And you’re right, they can surely melt the snow. The dub is out-of-this-world!! Way beyond my expectations.
Trembling in ecstasy!!
Jeff
