Thank you for posting this. Love is a shield is a good track that was taken to greatness by William Orbit. I remember getting this in one of the DJ promo packs I received monthly. The first time I heard that build up of the intro, the beat drop, & then the main melody & vocal, made the hair on my arms stand up. Still does. Such lush & tight production that is pure Orbit. I love when dark & moody is done uptempo, & this is a perfect example.

Camouflage is a underrated group. Yes, they fall into the category of depeche mode clones, like red flag, and ceta javu. But their first album is amazing, the second is good also. They are still busy putting out albums and singles. Love is a shield, never made too big of dent in the US. Everyone had heard ‘the great commandment’ many times over, which is their biggest hit. I got the UK version of this single, but then the US version had more mixes, and the cd single had less also. This is a very good song, and i remember… Read more »

Beautiful uploads congratulations, always with excellent quality. I would love to see something from THE KLF and more content similar to them.

This was a MASSIVE radio hit over here. I never liked it very much back then, mostly due to the heavy accent the singer is singing with. But then again, I had never heard the William Orbit remix until today. Made a few cuts replacing the original vocal chorus with the excellent vocoder chorus and looky looky – now I love it.
And yet again, dear Paul, you have opened my eyes. To quote Adeva, “I Thank You” 🙂

When trying to rename this on my hard drive it already had this on there. I came back to the website looking for ‘2018 re-rip’ only to discover nothing. It seems you posted this on November 2016. Looking at Camouflage on here though it seems to have disappeared. Confused!!!

Yes it is definetly a re-rip or re-up N. I have it downloaded 2016 as well…the files are different sizes so I’m thinking most likely a re-rip.

This was a smash hit over here in Europe. The Orbit Remix is awesome. The original 12″ Mix runs only 5:20. Thanks Paul for an amazing week of love. Have a great weekend

I just noticed that you already posted this single in November 2016. Is this a brand new rip?

I mostly listen to music through headphones so I can hear the subtleties. Just compared the 2 rips and actually I think that the new rip does sound slightly better. So your today’s 6 hours hard work wasn’t for nothing…

Yesterday while I was surfing on youtube I came across a beautiful rock ballad. It was Magnum with the single “Need a lot of love”. You can find it here:

I think this is another song that could perfectly fit to the special theme Week of love. I wonder if you have it.

Ha! I went to place this in my BTG archive and came to the same realization as Daniel! Nevertheless, Paul, you’re only getting better at this, so I’m happy with a (however subtly) improved effort! 🙂

You take my breath away each and every time Paul!! Your posts are, to me, what the French refer to as, la petite morts. I feel such a transcendence and feelings of euphoria because they are gorgeous and beautiful. I love what you do to my heart, soul, mind and body Paul. You just put me in such raptures because of the excellent taste in music that you have. I really get this “Champagne Kick” over all your music. I consider myself so lucky to have found you and your site. Wow, words just fail; it’s the tangible sensations of… Read more »
