Thanks for the post but I thought the Maxi-Single had like 4 songs on it? Including “Gave Above My Head” and “Dont Tell Me”??

Thank you so much Paul, a wonderful posting. You basically saved a nowadays very rare Remix. Back in the days, and like somebody else already mentioned, there had been two different extended versions of this track, at least in the UK, where two different 12″ were on the market, with no further informations on backcover or labels, the only optical difference being a “new Remix”- button printed on the frontcover of the second version. Different versions of “Vishnu” added to the confusion, so to be sure you better bought both versions (at least you had 4 different tracks then). The… Read more »

Paul, I can not begin to imagine the amount of spare room you must have for storage. 🙂

hi paul, thanks for posting one of my favorite songs, from one of my favorite groups. blancmange started off with a lesser known electro EP called ‘irene and mavis’, which has been reissued. it’s very experimental and alternative sounding. they they released the ‘happy families’ album, which had at least 3 singles that people might have heard, including the ‘feel me’ single, and ‘living on the ceiling’, along with ‘god’s kitchen’. they had a much smoother sound with the ‘mangetout’ album, which had this song as a single. as mentioned by others there were other mixes of it. blancmange still… Read more »

Yeeeeeees. At last! I LOVE Blancmange (the group, not the food 🙂 ). That´s Love was my first Blancmange 12inch. Fantastic song and a great remix. There is another one out there (UK remix or something) but that one isn´t as good. And the strange b-side Vishnu! Made me laugh the first time I heard it. They are so strange. Mange Tout is a fantastic album, too. Murder and All Things Are Nice are strange songs, too. But wonderful. Let´s make it a Blancmange week, dear Paul 🙂 with Don´t Tell Me with its three (!) different 12inch mixes, Blind… Read more »

If you like ‘The Day Before You Came’,
there is a great version by The Real Tuesday Weld. And they’ve used a tweak of the airy theme in another one of them too, ‘The Life And Times Of The Clerkenwell Kid’.
Kinda indie, I love them. Enjoy

I was listening to the second album “Mange Tout” just yesterday. I love this song in particular too.

John Luongo was such a great producer, remixer.

Thanks Paul 🙂

This is perfect Paul! I love this duo so very much. This is an excellent way to start the week. I thought it is great that remix God, John Luongo, produced this too!

I love Blancmange! Thanks Paul! I hope this is one of many you upload (maybe the Blind Vision and Don’t Tell Me UK/US 12″s next?)
