Never heard this one. In fact, I was living in another continent at the time, so I missed out on so much 80’s pop culture.

Thanks Paul, for uploading more ABC!

hi paul, abc is one of my all time favorite bands. this album, alphabet city was ok, but it was them trying to return to the early sound of lexicon of love, but not as successful. beauty stab was their rock record, and how to be a … millionaire is an all time electrofunk classic. yes, when smokey sings, was a huge hit, but the 2nd single (this), and king without a crown were lesser releases. on this release the ‘sheer chic mix’, is superior, only because it doesn’t have the terrible rap in the middle of it. the other… Read more »

I always loved that single and the Mendelsohn Remix is brilliant. The “Sheer Chic Mix” was included on “The Remix Album” compilation CD but the sound quality was poor. Your rip is crystal clear as always. Thank you Paul for your amazing work.

Great post DJ Paul!!!
This is one of the best songs of the ABC and of the 80’s
with an amazing remix made by Julian Mendelsohn (one of his bests)
that (The whole story mix) was missing from the 2005 remastered CD.
Luckily we got dj Paul with his awesome sound quality.
Regards

I’m so pleased “Februlove” isn’t over just yet. And to have an ABC song to boot is extra, extra special. You are amazing Paul in finding the right records to fit every mood. I love and hail all this eclecticism Burning The Ground has to offer. You certainly run the gamut of genres here dear Paul!! So cool to see Bernard Edwards’ name attached to this release. I miss him a lot. Anytime I see Nile Rogers’ credit applied to a musical project, I automatically think of Bernard. Ah, the Chic guys. Love that band. Thanks again Paul for everything!… Read more »
