BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1983
“Wham! U.K. Mega Mix” was a US promotional only 12″ released in 1983 on Columbia/Innervision Records. The Mega Mix consists of three hit singles by Wham! called Wham! U.K. in America because there was another group with the same name at the time. The Mega Mix was mixed by Alan Coulthard and has never appeared in any other format.
This is not one of the greatest Mega Mixes evr made the edits are a bit sloppy and the mastering not so great. But it is still part of the official Wham! singles collection and a rarity. The same mix appears on both sides of the record.

So so so very cool. Thank you so much.
Never knew of this all these years! And I’m a mega Wham! fan!
Can’t wait to hear this. Thanks Paul!
Alan Coulthard would go on to be an important remixer from the DMC stable throughout the 80s and 90s! Given the technology in 1983, I guess this would be mainly chop and slice. But still, a precious rarity for any complete Wham! collection.
No wonder why this stayed a Promo release only 😉
Must be one of Alan’s first mixes
Thankx PaulT
My copy is somewhere, but was warped if I recall?
Thanks for posting this, Paul 🙂
I’m not usually one for megamixes, but must grab this for completists sake. ;^)
Thanks for offering up such a rarity. 🙂
Brilliant! I have been searching for a good rip of this megamix for years! As usual, you have delivered a first class copy. Thank you so much!
Thanks again so much for these! Excellent and I thought I had heard all the rare mixes over the years of collecting but always something new to discover thanks to you! 🙂
Ha! Was just making a Best Of Wham! remixes compilation and needed the two megamixes to complete it. And you delivered! Thank You!
You’re welcome Mixhunter 🙂
I just love your early WHAM!
Thank you 80spornstar 🙂
This Wham! series has been amazing Paul – thanks so much. Hoping next week is all about Make It Big!
You’re welcome Todd 🙂
Hoppy-toppy Paul! So much fun with this series. Just love it.
This rarity is a nice addition to the collection, although it’s not the best Wham! montage mix.
Looking forward to Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday, and Thursday, and Friday…
You’re very welcome Stefano 🙂
Well done another great one and on a Saturday too!
Thank you NKelly 🙂
How do you know so much? Astonishing.
Hugs
Thanks Ezequiel I don’t really know that much lol Hugs to you too 🙂
Thank you, Paul! This is one of those rarities in my collection that I haven’t gotten around to ripping myself.
You’re welcome Christian 🙂
