Thanks Paul. This is one of my favourite 12″ mixes! It was included on a 12″ compilation double-album released in Australia in 1987 called “Hi Funk 1”. Also on that album are 12″ mixes of Dead Or Alive’s “Something In My House” and Mel & Kim’s “Showing Out”.

There were a few 12″ compilation albums released here in Australia around that time, notably “Hit City 1987 Megamixes”, “1987 Into The Groove Megamixes” and “Hit Pix 88 Megamixes” (possibly all by the same record label). Though sometimes the label fibbed and a couple of the tracks turned out to be merely the album versions.

Some of the mixes on Hit City 1987 Megamixes are a bit rare or unusual, like the 12″ mix of Shona Laing’s “Drive (Baby Drive)”, or the extended mix of Warren Zevon’s “Leave My Monkey Alone” which runs over 10 mins.

It appears like my original comment was deformatted and truncated, so I split it into three parts.

I have bought all of these on vinyl and cassette again in the past few years.
