5 MILLION STARS for you! Glad to finally have this classic in DJPaulT quality! Thank you! I bought all of the original numbered 12″ records in that series from Seven Eleven as soon as they came out. Each Vinyl sleeve had a big number printed on the front. I remember their songs just had a slightly fatter, more bass-heavy kick drum than other records at the time. Legendary stuff! My favorite in that series is still J.W.B. Hits The Beat – Body On Body. I am still surprised that Razormaid selected to remix the B-side to that record instead of… Read more »

I have several of them in digital format, if you want them. Also, I recommend checking out Westside 25th Anniversary for that early sound. Westside was Seven Eleven’s parent label.

Thanks for sharing Paul.

And thank you Martika for introducing me to J.W.B. Hits The Beat,
I like the tune ‘One Day In My Life’, and also OK’s ‘Education’.
Peace,
dj

Thanks Paul! I used to see copies of this all the time when I’d go into Oak Lawn Records. I think I finally got a copy of the A-side on their Club Classics CD and hadn’t realized there was also a Razormaid remix. Top!

A weird place to ask, but for those that hung around Oak Lawn Records – what was that scent they used in the shop? It was very noticeable, and I’m not sure I’ve encountered it before or after. Very nice – probably encouraged record purchases 🙂 Never did think to ask David or Ray!

Ooh, Paul!! This one gets me excited!!! I’m a huge lover of this record! I first heard it courtesy of the Razormaid! Remix Service and then I heard it in the clubs!! Such a favorite of mine! I love music like this, and the Oaklawn record label released some excellent dance tracks during this time. This one is quite the jam!!! Thanks so much!!!
