Thanks for posting! Love this song – can’t remember if I first heard it by Sandy Posey or Tracey (Skeeter Davis did it first, I think).
Speaking of 60s throwback pop from the 80s, I’d love to hear the Mari Wilson post of yours if you’re willing to re-upload it. Thanks!
Can’t get enough of your rips, Paul! I feel like I owe you so much!
Thanks! I never heard about her but I downloaded all your posts of Tracy Ullman to listen. Let’s see if I’ll like it.
So happy to introduce you to Tracey Ullman Ziv 🙂
Ah yes, these Tracey singles are splendid! I’m very grateful to Tracey, because, it’s really because of her and the US variety show she had in the 80’s, that we got The Simpsons. She once joked, that after her show was over, she’d have interludes on The Simpsons, sort of a reversal of what her program did for the animated program. I’ve always wished this could somehow be incorporated on The Simpsons. Would be strange, but fun, at least for a one time only episode.
Paul, you really have created a wonderful world here. Thanks for so much love!
Jeff
You’re welcome Jeff 🙂
Such fun listening to these Tracey records after all these years. Thanks Paul!
And great to read her comeback on TV. Gonna keep my eye on the BBC schedules!
You’re welcome Stefano 🙂
The jewel in Ullman’s crown.
Thank you Paul.
BTW she mentions her new BBC series in this interview with Paul O’Grady:

Thanks. Just watched the whole thing.
What a fun interview Tracey still had me laughing can’t wait for her new show. Thanks for sharing Jermajesty 🙂
Thanks for these Tracey Ullman posts, Paul. It’s hard to believe that it was over 30 years ago that Tracey came to fame in the UK as a TV comedian AND have a successful pop career alongside. Although Three Of A Kind was mainly a primetime TV vehicle for the lead, Lenny Henry, I was a bigger fan of Tracey. It was great that she found success in the US but, back home, this has been poorly represented, with her shows relegated to “graveyard” slots, if shown at all. Very interested to hear that she’s working on a new show… Read more »
You’re welcome Khayem. Just imagine how big she would have been if she had recorded these tracks during the 80’s and 60’s 🙂
I had no idea this would be next!!

Return to British television;
On 4 March 2015, it was announced that Ullman would return to the BBC with a new six-part comedy series,
The Tracey Ullman Show for BBC One.
It will be her first project for the network in thirty years, and her first original project for British television in twenty-two years.
The press release states that Ullman will play ‘a multitude of diverse and distinct characters living in, or visiting, the busy global hub that is the UK.
Interesting. Thanks.
