I forgot something to write. There are several TT compilations on CD with some ( not stated as such ) rarities on.
If you need a list let me know. The same is for ABC.
Maybe a good idea for another TT 7″ single: the vinyl single b-side “Love On Your Back”. On the “Deluxe Edition” of “Quick Step & Side Kick” and the “TT Box” they used an unreleased, alternative version of that track ( with piano parts ) and not the original b-side version. The piano-free version has never appeared on any CD.

Hi Paul, this is my first comment ever. Thanks for all the great items from the last years. If you are looking for a CD with the 7″ single remix of “Bush Baby” look out for the hard to find: “The Definitive Singles Collection”. You will find the single remix as track 8 on disc 2. My personal most wanted mix is the 12” remix of “Heaven’s Children” by Culture Club. Maybe you could find the test pressing promo vinyl anywhere, anytime… If not the 7″ single of “Move Away” is also very interested and not so rare. It includes… Read more »

You already have a great archive for TT singles, and although this was one i was unaware of, it is now a new favourite of mine.

Thanks Paul 🙂

Sorry, Paul, but does anyone really care about the 7” versions? Aren’t we all just music size queens, yearning for the long extended versions?

Oh I would do backflips if a 12″ mix of “Bush Baby” existed, but unfortunately it does not, so I’m personally happy as heck to at least have Paul’s beautiful 7″ Remix transfer!

These days I happily accept anything TTwins related.
An extended version of Bush Baby would be great.
Sadly TTwins fans have been starved of anything deep within the vault. However an occasional gem makes it onto a compilation.
It’s been way far too long since the last TTwins deluxe, compilation, reissue, etc.

GREAT retort, Paul! To be honest: I was one of those early disco babies who happily played my 45s. When I found out there were longer mixes available on albums and even longer ones available on 12” singles (and frustratingly sometimes only available to working DJs) I HAD to have them. A few that come to mind: “Turn The Beat Around,” by Vicki Sue Robinson, “Native New Yorker” by Odyssey, “Hot Line” by The Sylvers…”. I guess l’ll always be an insatiable dance music size queen…

I love how you continue to throw us curveballs! I lost track of Thompson Twins, probably like a lot of people, after their Here’s To Future Days album. Looking forward to this. And I’m loving this 7 inch promo week! Thanks Paul!!

I was a casual TTwins fan in the early and mid 80s but as I slowly collected all their albums and then started dipping into their 12″ singles, I became pretty hardcore. No one sounded like them! The rhythms, the melodies, all wrapped up in cutting edge technology! When I picked up “Close To The Bone” in 1987, “Bush Baby” leapt out at me immediately but I didn’t know until a few years ago it was remixes and released as a 7″ here in the USA. What an excellent remix!!! So many great TTwins compilations and album reissues have surfaced… Read more »

Truly amazing to see this pop up.
I absolutely love the ‘Close To the Bone’ album – I managed to get front row on that tour.
Love this track, love this remix.
I remember like yesterday, back in the day, picking up the USA commercial 7inch and promo.
We need more TTwins.
