I’m loving your ‘new’ and obscure posts!! Totally new to me and I so appreciate you throwing us curveballs like this. Thank you for this lovely transfer! And is it just me or does this sound like (at least a similar groove to) Der Kommissar by After The Fire??
You’re welcome, Retro Hound. I will have to listen to this again with After The Fire in mind very interesting. 🙂
Thank You, I’m also a fan of the rare stuff !
You’re welcome, Low. Thank you for your comment and feedback I love knowing what everyone likes 🙂
What a pleasant surprise! I thought I was the only one that had this 12″ lol. But seriously thanks for the wonderful transfer of this terrifically obscure Ivan Ivan production.
You’re very welcome, Thomas 🙂
Great, thanks! I have the Salvation OST and the Hood 12″of Salvation but had totally missed this one. John Robie is always gold! Thanks a lot for this gem!
You’re welcome, Martin 🙂
Simply A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! Your Totally Obscure 80s releases are always a major highlight! You never disappoint! THANK YOU!
Thank you, Martika 🙂
You had me at John Robie and Ivan Ivan. 🙂
Not familiar with their stuff outside of the Salvation soundtrack, so thanks for this!
You’re welcome, David 🙂
WOW! Obscurity knocks and I said hello! Of course I knew of Hood from Salvation, every hard core New Order or Cabaret Voltaire fan would, but this and the mentioned album are things I am excited to discover! I know Ivan from Figures on a Beach, and duh on Robie! 🙂
Thanks for a totally awesome post!
You’re welcome, ING. Nice to see someone else familiar with this artist 🙂
PAUL!! I nearly embarrassed myself in a doctor’s waiting room today when I saw this come through!! You (and the community here) have no idea in how happy I am! Love this song tremendously. John Robie did a fantastic review of the song. And Ivan Ivan is a great producer too!! Such an obscure record. Not much written about it. The Hood is more known for his contributions to the “Salvation” film soundtrack. Although I haven’t seen the movie, the soundtrack does have tracks by Arthur Baker (another favorite of mine) and New Order too! Paul, I really can’t express… Read more »
