Aww yeah, at last a good restoration of Shining! Love the Dolphin Brothers, especially “Second Sight”, too bad they never released any remixes of that, the single version was the same as the album one IIRC. If you like The Dolphin Brothers, the band Empire (John Uriel and Mark Lee Kemp) is also very recommended.
Thank you for such a great share Paul. I have to make a correction: “Catch The Fall” is not the duo’s only album as you stated, they made another 5 albums from 1985 to 1997 as “Jansen-Barbieri”.
Fresh Selection DJ Paul.
For a Fresh new year !
Thank you, Kaex. Happy New Year! 🙂
Interesting, I didn’t realize that David Sylvian had a brother who was also a singer. Definitely sounds just like him, “My Winter” is a lovely mood tome. Thank you for sharing this.
You’re welcome, Richard. Love “My Winter” 🙂
What a terrific surprise! I had no idea this single existed. Thank you so much.
You’re very welcome VanceMan 🙂
Great rip! Great site!
Do you have any Sylvian or JAPAN singles? I’m even considering donating my own vinyl copies to you so you can do a decent rip of them!
I don’t have a big selection of either Zedhed. Will try to post what I have though. Please send me an email if you want to donate any vinyl. Thanks, mate 🙂
Thanks Paul. This is awesome once again. Steve Jansen sounded just like his brother David. Dolphin Brothers also released a Japan only single Face To Face, do you have that?
I agree he does sound like his brother David Sylvian. I don’t have “Face To Face” but will add it to my want list 🙂
I’m with Daniel in preferring the posts that are new to me. You have the best tastes Paul and when it is a particular DjPaulT Recommended 12″, I know it’s going to be great!! I love John Potoker too so this is an added bonus. Thank you Paul for the best music EVER!!!
Jeff
Thank you, Jeff. I’d be so interested in hearing what you think of this one. I hear the weather is getting nasty up your way. Stay safe 🙂
These are the posts I prefer the most. When it’s something totally new to me. I love discovering “new” music. Never heard of The Dolphin Brothers. The John Potoker Remix is fantastic. I love his remixes so much. Thanks a million Paul for this outstanding rip.
Thank you, Daniel. I love the obscure stuff too. Both of these guys are former members of the band Japan. 🙂
