hmmm. a second attempt I still get the same. I’ve never had the issue before and no problem with your other files. I’m using Windows 10 with latest Windows Defender (ver:1.335.280.0) it detects: Trojan:Script/Oneeva.A!ml in webfile: https://burningtheground.net/btg2021/whycantibeyou16.rar

Unfortunately the problem persists. I also tried edge browser, same result. The 24bit file fine so I can use that instead. Thanks for all the music anyway 🙂

HI Paul, another great release. the cure were really hitting their prime in the US. Although I prefer their earlier albums and singles, like a forest, and the walk. some of these latter singles were very catchy, and had great lyrics, rhythms, and unusual music and instruments. the cure are not for everyone, and they became the symbol of pretty much every goth band ever. but before they went pop, and more accessible, they were still putting out good albums and singles. they slowed down a lot after the 80s, and although they still tour, and have massive concerts with… Read more »

Superb choice Paul. But just to let you know…the tracks are tagged the wrong way round…on the 16bit version at least.

It really feels like you are going through my record collection this week. Love this single, I confess it was my introduction to The Cure. I honestly did not know what to make of them originally, my adolescent brain thinking Robert Smith sounded a bit like Bobcat Goldthwait, but as my musical tastes expanded, I became a real fan. I really thought it was cool when the b-side would get the remix treatment on the 12″ too. That’s pretty cool that your Pet Shop Boys is a misprint. I didn’t know about that one, but it would be hard to… Read more »

Was absent for a while, but back now. What a wonderful addition – and an incredibly classic song from that era! Thanks, Paul!

The best thing going in 1987 along with the Cult.
A band with flowers and weapons was the big corporate rock of the time and a GF used to mock them relentlessly and crack me up.
Once rode a bike across several counties to get to the record store to buy Boys Don’t Cry and Primary 12″ single!
It was worth every pedal.

My good friend Alex turned me on to The Cure early on in their career and I have been a fan ever since. This twelve makes me go crazy whenever I hear it on a good sound system. I dance like a madman!! Thanks Paul. Keep the alternative coming!!!

Thank you very much Paul. This song made me buy the album though not being a fan before. Had some difficulties with some of the tracks as a teen but there are some of the best songs they have ever recorded as well.

Great track, Paul! I was not a huge fan of the Cure when they were hot but rather, got into them more in late 1989. I’ve always like the regular album version of this song and the 12″ has that great baseline that kicks in at 0:18 with the echos and effects over the next 20+ seconds!

Thanks for this great tune and have an awesome day!!
