Burning The Ground Exclusive 1994

“Melody of Love (Wanna Be Loved)” is by American singer and songwriter Donna Summer. It was released on October 31, 1994, by Mercury Records and Casablanca Records as a new track and the lead single for her 1994 hits compilation album, Endless Summer: Donna Summer’s Greatest Hits. The song was written by Summer, David Cole, Robert Clivillés, and Joe Carrano, and produced by Summer and Welcome Productions. It missed the top 20 in the United Kingdom and was a top-40 hit in Belgium. The song was formed with several remixes and was her tenth number-one hit on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. In Australia, the single peaked at number 79 in December 1994. It was awarded the ASCAP Dance Song of the Year prize in 1996.

“Don’t Talk to Me About Love” is a song by Scottish new wave band Altered Images, released as the first single from their third album, Bite. The single reached the top 10 in three countries; number 7 in the UK, and number 6 in both Ireland and New Zealand. The song was their last major hit, as the next three singles only had moderate to minor chart placings (“Bring Me Closer” was their last single to make the top 40 in the UK and Ireland, peaking at numbers 29 and 17, respectively).

The U.S. Mix is exclusive to the U.S. and Australia. To my knowledge, this 6:10 version has not appeared on CD.

“Images Of Heaven” was the second 12″ EP released by English new wave musician Peter Godwin. The EP contained different track listings depending on the country of release. The song “Images of Heaven” became a “cult favorite on New Wave radio stations. None of the songs contained on this EP appeared on Godwin’s only full-length studio LP “Correspondence”. Neither this EP nor the LP “Correspondence” have been released on CD.

Mix titles on Side A are not listed on the release.

Two music videos were released for “Images Of Heaven” a censored and uncensored version.

“Moonbeam” is a song by Canadian new wave and synthpop band Men Without Hats. The song was released as the second single from the LP “Pop Goes The World”. “Moonbeam” failed to gain much traction only reaching #23 on the Canadian singles chart, and #46 on the U.S. Dance Chart on April 23, 1988, after spending two weeks on the survey.
