The Belle Stars – Sign Of The Times (US 12″)

“Sign of the Times” is a song by English pop/new wave band The Belle Stars, released as the lead single from the band’s only self-titled studio album. The single was the fourth single from their only album, and their seventh single overall. “Sign of the Times” was the band’s first single that was an original song since 1981’s Another Latin Love Song. Its lyrics describe the band explaining how they feel their lover is unfaithful of their love, hence the lyric “You say you love me, but want success.” The single was the band’s first to make it into the top 10, reaching #3 in the UK singles chart. In the US “Sign Of The Times” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 7, 1983 peaking at #75 while on the dance chart the single peaked at #43.

“Come Home With Me Baby” was the second single releaded in the UK and the first released in the US from the fourth studio album “Nude” by Dead Or Alive in 1989 on Epic Records. The song had little impact in the UK but was a massive club hit in the US. “Come Home With Me Baby” debuted on the US Billboard Hot Dance Chart on July 8, 1989 after spending nine weeks on the chart the single peaked at #1.

**The track “I Want You” on the b-sdie is an album track taken from the LP “Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know” however this version is a remix that is exclusive to this 12″ single and does not appear anywhere else.

“Turn Around & Count 2 Ten” is a 1988 single by the British band Dead or Alive. Despite that its UK Singles Chart success was limited to the top 100 (#70 peak), the song reached number two in the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. The track also features backing vocals by British singer Tracey Ackerman.

This is the first UK 12″ release for “Turn Around And Count 2 Ten” featuring the “I Love BPM” Mix. The B-side is the PWL 12″ Instru-MENTAL 12″ Mix of “Something in My House”.

“Turn Around And Count 2 Ten” was the first single releasd from British synth-pop band Dead Or Alive’s fourth studio album “Nude”.the single proved to be a massive success in Japan, where “Turn Around and Count 2 Ten” spent seventeen weeks at #1. While not released in the US the single still cahrted on the Billboard Hot/Dance Club Play Chart at #2. The single also charted in the UK #70 and Australia #30 respectively.

“I Had A Disco Dream” Mix is the second of two 12″ singles that were released only in the UK and is the more rare of the two. This 12″ also includes an edited Instru-MENTAL Mix of “Something In My House”. There are also two tracks from “Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know”, “Then There Was You” and “Come Inside” both tracks run together with no spaces in between I have left this intact since it is how it appears on the 12″.
