Produced by Giorgio Moroder and Co-written by Hagen, Karl Rucker and Steve Schiff, it was released as the album’s lead single in 1983. “New York, New York” debuted on the US dance chart on January 21, 1984. After spending thirteen weeks on the chart the single peaked at #9.
