Thank you so much! One of my favorite mixes from the 80’s!
This is a treat Paul. I recently ordered another copy of her single The Medicine Song. 🙂
“Medicine Song” is great! She had another hit single that is really good called “Pilot Error”. 🙂
MANY MANY thanks for this one Paul, what a fantastic track. Faltermeyer sounding so much fun !
Im also a huge fan of the Pilot Error track, it’s so damn funky !
In 2017, I shared a radio show from the early 80s featuring the legendary radio DJ Frankie Crocker, where he plays Pilot Error [and some Latoya Jackson, some Lionel, Starpoint & even Madonna].
Check out this lovely 1983 throwback for some fun tracks and some really odd mic break comments, enjoy !

I agree with you, Paul. Her midtempo 12” stomper “What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin'” inexplicably isn’t on the Billboard dance chart, though the previous two 12 inchers from the album racked up 22 weeks. Maybe 20th Century failed to push it to the clubs, though I heard it all the time, and it sounds like a total New York hit groove for The Garage and those groove-driven underground clubs.
This soundtrack song for Fletch is just weak in comparison to her other great material.
Wow – what a fun track! Thanks for the romp down 80’s memory lane – and Fletch no less! That makes it a two-fer! Thanks, Paul!
You’re welcome dugn 🙂
Paaaaaaul! I’ve been hoping you would bring this record back since I joined this site! Is it weird the “edit” is longer than the 12″? Love this flick and Faltermeyer’s film work.Thank you!
I thought it was strange too Jon. I was happy to post it because it is a favorite of mine 🙂
I’m not familiar with this song. I like it and the mixes are fun. Thank you Paul. It’s good to see only colored singers being posted this week. Considering all the craziness around this is a strong signal. You are a good person. Wish there was more people like you in this world. 🙂
Thank you Daniel for the very thoughtful comment thanks for being a super friend to BTG 🙂
Great theme song from a great movie! Thanks Paul!! P.S. if you own or ever acquire Harold Faltermeyer’s Fletch Theme US 12″ it would be a fantastic post!
I think I have it but will have to check 🙂
Best Chevy Chase movie ever, Music wise I actually could not remember anything but the Fletch Theme… really like the 12″ edit though
Stefan
Love the movie too Stefan but “Vacation” makes me laugh 🙂
Hey Paul, I vaguely remember this track. In college when I was the music director for our radio station, I do remember it coming across my desk. I do like Miss Mills so I probably played it.
And of course, Harold Faltermeier was behind the track. He was very busy back then. Cool to revisit this aural memory. Thanks again.
Jeff
P.S. it looks like things are back to normal when I comment
Thanks for fixing things Paul.
You’re welcome, Jeff. Pretty sure you will love this track 🙂
Awesome, my favorite track. Paul you’re the best. Thanxs.
BTW, since this is pride month, would you be kind to post Pleasure Boys by Visage?
Thanxs.
You’re welcome, Robert 🙂
