It’s always a joy to listen to music not heard before on BTG. This is another new one on me aswell.

Thanks Paul 🙂

Brilliant record Paul. An obscure New Order related diamond. I knew this song back in the day, but have not thought about it in ages. Thank you for reintroducing it to me and everyone else! And thanks for all the hard work that goes into these pristine digital transfers.

Wow, I will look forward to listening to this one. I really enjoyed her version of “LoveWillTearUsApart” and could not find anything else she did besides 1 song with Thurson Moore called Pope found on a Factory compilation, nice to see she actually recorded something besides two songs, and with the added bonus of two members of NewOrder. Thank you!

ADORE! ADORE! ADORE! This is an all-time favorite “leftfield” dance song. It always seemed like Altered Images should have become instead of what they did become. Thank you so much for posting.

What a surprising take on this one. Could I hand one too? Ann Clarke for the ones who like poetry or Siouxie+Banshees for max weirdness and great drums.

Paul, again, you have my utmost gratitude for ripping this fantastic 12-inch. It is so amazing to have this and in such outstanding quality!! I tried to get this on CD, which I did. It was on a very cool compilation called: “Trevor Jackson Presents Metaldance – Industrial Post Punk EBM Classics & Rarities ’80-88.” The comp contained the dub version, which I adore, but I did lament that the vocal mix wasn’t included. I then downloaded via Amazon, Thick Pigeon’s album, but was very disappointed in the mastering and output. You really come through with what you put forth.… Read more »

We had those kind of clubs as well. Best ambiance, people and music. Nowadays it is hard searching via via for that kind 😉 (And I do not mean facebookgroups – au contraire)
But great fun to let go back in those days without phone camera’s anywhere near. So glad to have enjoyed that..

Do you have her version of “Love Will Tear Us Apart”?

I believe she was involved with the Durutti Column co-writing and vocals on “Paradise Passage Road” (“Dry” album 2000).

Also using differing names including “Thick Pigeon”!

Cheers

So, I am hoping this might be commentary on what is happening in your back yard 🙂 Regardless, thanks for introducing me to something new. I am always grateful for that.

Oh Paul!! How you make me feel like a little kid everyday, waking up for Christmas morning, wondering what presents there are!! Well, thank you for letting everyday feel like Christmas with the best gifts!! Thank you a zillion times over with this classic track. And yet, it’s another one I can check off my personal list of John Robie (re)productions/ remixes that I’m constantly on the hunt for!! I am so thrilled to have this presented by you because you do such stellar work with vinyl and the quality is something to drool over. Again, I’m so grateful to… Read more »

Paul you do have the most obscure and hard to find stuff. I have never heard of her but was pleasantly surprised to listen. Thanks.
