Nobody’s mentioning the identity of the lass on the cover?
Unless my memory has really worsened – which it may very well have – I believe the lovely lady on the cover is Chynna Phillips (of Wilson Phillips fame, the daughter of the lovely Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & The Papas, and half-sister of actress Mackenzie Phillips). I believe that Chynna was president of the official Sparks Fan Club during her youthful days of the LA music scene.
I know this song well, as I have it on my iPod, and I own several copies of this remix on CD. I’ve always enjoyed this song. I think my favorite Sparks song is “When I’m With You”. But I am a big Sparks fan, and this rip will sound fantastic I’m sure when I give it a listen. I am very picky about sound quality, and I find your rips to sound great Paul. On another note, regarding sound quality, I recently got my copy of Dead Or Alive’s Boom Box Set, and I feel the sound quality on… Read more »
This was on heavy rotation on KROQ in Los Angeles, along with Cool Places, and I with I looked A Little Better, from the same album
Nice one, thank you Paul. I must admit I only really knew their hit singles “When Do I Get To Sing ´My Way´” and “Now That I Own The BBC” from 1994/95. I feel I should take a closer look at their work.
They have a pretty nice catalog Song_and_Dance. Check it out 🙂
Thanks a lot Paul. This song by The Sparks is new to me but it sounds great. Just watched the original video on Youtube. It’s really funny.
You’re welcome Daniel 🙂
Love this group, saw them live back in 1974..
Ron was still wearing his now trademark white shirt, tie etc..
Thanks for the rip Paul! 🙂
You’re welcome Ex15 🙂
When it comes to myself, I think that sometimes a summation would be the title to this classic song by the Sparks!! Heck, I really do think that a majority of us do really have sex on the brain, which is indeed, the true sex organ of the body. Not that we all think about sex — !!!Constantly!!! — but it sometimes is always there in the back of our minds, etc. Oh Paul, perfect time to unleash this record on us. It’s Spring after all and a lot of us are indeed “sprung” and ready for action as the… Read more »
You’re welcome Jeff. My goal is to bring music for the masses I really enjoy digging out the lesser known stuff. Sure we can hear Madonna or MJ just about everywhere but the obscure ones not so much. I hope more people will start joining the conversation on the lesser known not just the hits 🙂
Thank you Paul. Do you also have Rosebud and Just Got Back From Heaven?
You’re welcome Omar. I will check 🙂
