I’ve been listening to terribly compressed versions of the two songs on this 12 incher since 2001 or 2002 (when The Very Best of Soft Cell was released on CD). The sound on that CD is just awful and doesn’t do the music justice. Your needle drop does! Can’t thank you enough for this and Tainted Love, and I sure hope to see Memorabilia, Bedsitter, and whatever else you can come across by the lads posted here. Cheers, mate!
Hi Paul,
Many thanks for your excellent uploads.
Re : Soft Cell
The 12″ version of Say Hello Wave Goodbye available on CD or in digital format apparently is a slightly edited version of the vinyl version. The original vinyl 12″ version is apparently is little longer and is yet to be released.
Do you have the original 12″ vinyl version ? If so, would you please share a quality rip of it ?
Thanks in advance.
nice post…..also please link me to your blog and i will return the favour my blog is -http://magnum71mixes.blogspot.co.uk/ ,excuse me for linking in this post,my email must have not reached you for whatever reason.
Hi Magnum I have added you to my links section 🙂
Thanks Paul. Keep the new wave coming !
You’re welcome Omar I will 🙂
Awww AWESOME songs… (Though I already have these on the 3xCD 12″s pack they put out in 2000. Amazing collection and worth checking out)
It’s A Mug’s Game is one of the best Soft Cell songs, it just goes on and on, with the lyrics soooooo cool. I gave my friend copies of Deep Purple In Rock and Led Zeppelin II for Xmas just to see if he got the reference. 😀
Are we gonna see a re-post of the most obvious BTG heart-themed tune DJPaulT? (I surely don’t have to say it!?)
Jermajesty If it’s the one I am thinking it is probably so 🙂
It is!
A heart-themed week!
Thanks!
You’re welcome Drake 🙂
