Dang. I love this song! I wish I could download the 24-bit file, but I spent the last six weeks in the hospital and just came home last night. I’ve missed out on so much, which makes my whole health crisis even more depressing. Anyway, I can at least enjoy the 16-bit version.
I have the US CD single promo, but these additional vinyl only mixes are a treat.
Great song and surprised it didn’t chart.
Thanks Paul 🙂
You’re welcome, Marco 🙂

Great groove!! Too bad MCA didn’t promote this single or make a video. Ms. Easton could show her contemporaries how it’s done! A lot of bang for our buck with 5 mixes. And those hot front & back photos don’t hurt either! Thank you Paul!!
You’re welcome, Retro Hound. Sheena was on fire with this album too bad this single went nowhere. The Promo 12″ had 5 mixes whereas the standard release only had three “Extended”, “Dub”, and “Instrumental”.
The Love in Me for me is Sheena’s Shining star. I love the entire album start to finish her only album I can say that about Thank you for doing this 12″ single. The remixes for this album were all top notch. This albums and Pebbles debut album both had a stream of stellar 12″ singles. would love to hear new rips of all The Love In Me era 12″ singles and Pebbles
I agree the album is great from start to finish.
Thank you for another great remix! Does anyone else find it strange that they packed 4 songs (clocking in at 20 minutes) onto the B-side?
For some reason MCA loved to do that on their promo singles the regular 12″ only contained three mixes.
Can you post the lover in me club edit by Greg royal please on the 12” promo tomorrow please
I will post it at some point.
Love me some Sheena from day one ! Morning Train, Modern Girl… even her disco covers album!
Of course, her collabs with Prince are some of my faves, but her LA & Babyface stuff is great too!
One has to wonder who thought this would be a hit single without a video in 1989?
Girl could sing the phone book, as we used to say!
Thanks!
It amazes me that she has not recorded an album in almost 25 years. I know that she still tours sometimes. Morning Train was my favorite.
Oh wow, you’re right! Home was seriously her last album of original material ?!?!🤯. Fabulous was covers, and that was a work for hire, I believe!
many thanks!
You’re welcome 🙂
Sheena looks so sultry on the sleeve, Paul. I can’t wait to sink my ears into this 12-inch package. You have been such a supporter and avid fan of Ms. Easton, Paul, and I’m glad you make her records shine. I see that it’s edited by Greg Royal, so that’s a real bonus for me because I love me some edits!!
Jeff
Plenty of edits here to keep you satisfied, Jeff. 🙂
YES!!! Tasty edits!! Thank you, Paul!!
