BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1985
“Dance This World” was a single released in 1985 by Australian singer-songwriter, musician, and actor Rick Springfield. The song was the third single from the album “Tao” following the hits “Celebrate Youth” and “State Of The Heart”. This rare 12″ was only released in Germany and “Dance This World Away” remix has not appeared on CD. The single also includes the 7″ Edit of “Affair Of The Heart” from the album “Living In Oz” and the ballad “My Father’s Chair.

Hi master,
Oh no !! One of my fav tracks from 80s..
Still have it on (really old) K7 audio!
And now here here in a great transfer (as always)!
As always, you’re a master!!
BTG what else?
Oh man, thanks so much for this! “Tao” is such an underrated album. I wore out my tape in college.
Thanks for this re-rip Paul. It seems that you already posted this single in 2012 (on February 24th), am I right? I have your old rip on one of my 30 compilation-CDs of “DJ PaulT’s fantastic remasters”. Gonna compare the 2 rips but for sure your new transfer will sound much better, like everytime when you post a re-rip.
I could not remember if I had posted this one but after checking you are correct I did indeed. I hope this transfer beats out the old one please let me know what you think Daniel 🙂
I didn´t know it was a rare Germany-only 12inch. So I´ll cherish my record even more. As I said before, you live you learn, right? “Celebrate Youth” was Rick´s only real chart success over here. Shame.
You have a rarity indeed Song And Dance. Rick was pretty massive here in the states after his role as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital. 🙂
Heaps of praise to you DjPaulT for digging up this rarity. I love Rick Springfield!! I do have the “12-inch Collection” but this track is not on it. How cool is this!! I can’t thank you enough for this one. I so love these dance rock 12-inches. Man, you’ve made me so very happy Paul, like you always do.
Amazed and grateful beyond all recognition!
Jeff
Thank you, Jeff. This is really a great remix and has a fun video 🙂
