This is AMAZING! I did not have these remixes in FLAC! And now I have them in DjPaulT SUPER FLAC! THANK YOU!!!
The entire album was fantastic – probably Joseph Watt’s greatest production work! I’m surprised that nobody had the foresight to market them in Europe, where they would have done well. Especially Watt should’ve known that, as he was desperately trying to bring that sound to the US with Razormaid!
hi paul,
great post. i haven’t listened to red flag in awhile.
they came out at a time when bands had that similar
style, along with camouflage, ceta javu and more.
this was an ok song, but the album had a ton of singles,
and a remix album too. there were a lot of razormaid
mixes in their also. they kept going, but i havent heard
the more recent things.
thanks again, and take care.

What a post!! I might have heard it on the radio, but like you mentioned sadly it didn’t chart. To echo what Jeff said, this synth pop sound is sorely missed today! So many pioneers at the time. Thanks for all your diligence in these 6 mixes, I can imagine how much work you must have put in!
You’re welcome, retro Hound. This record was not too bad to work on. The pressing was very good with lots of swirls in the vinyl.
Wow! Tremendous post!
Thank you, Josh 🙂
Takes me back to my freshman year at the University of Cincinnati. The girl across the hall, Katy, had the best records.
Speaking of, do you have the “Count To Three” 12″?
Thanks for everything you do!
You’re welcome, mate. It is always good to have neighbors with great records 🙂
I will check if I have “Count To Three”.
Forgot about this one! Thanks! I particularly like the instrumental version included as well!
You’re welcome, Raymond 🙂
Dear Paul, You really touched my heart with this rip. Red Flag has always meant the world to me. First of all was their relationship with Razormaid!, but it was the sound they put forth. I love Depeche Mode, and these guys reminded me of them in ways. I miss music like this. Synth Pop is a genre that needs to come back. Depeche Mode just isn’t the same, and Red Flag lost one of its founding members. Thankfully, we still have, Pet Shop Boys and Erasure, but this is the sound I really miss. I love that Paul Rob… Read more »
You’re welcome, Jeff. I agree they do not make music like this anymore. I like this infectious underrated track. I can’t believe it did nothing on the charts. 🙂
OMG! I love this band. Thank u so much for remastering this 12″ vinyl. Please do more synth-pop/new wave group not popular with the mainstream. Thank u again. Hope mom is OK!
You’re welcome, Gilbert 🙂
