Burning The Ground Exclusive 1987

Artist spotlight PSEUDO ECHO!

“Living in a Dream” is a song by Australian pop group Pseudo Echo. The song was released in April 1986 as the third single from their second studio album, Love an Adventure (1985). The song peaked at number 15 on the Australian Kent Music Report.

In America, the song was remixed and released as a single for the U.S. release of the LP Love An Adventure (1987). The single reached number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 9, 1987, after spending nine weeks on the survey becoming the band’s second charting single in the United States.

The b-side John Potoker mixes are exclusive to the U.S. and European 12″ singles. The “OZ Mix” on the A-side is also known as “Metal Mix” on the Australian 12″ single.

I hope your day job is working for an art department at a record label!
These are better covers than most I’ve seen

I’m sorry, no, not really, I just have a lot of time and like to do crafts. I’m happy if you like it.

Hi & thankyou! A kind request for “Hold On”, aka 1987’s New Wave masterpiece by “The Models”… There’s many 7* easily available & honestly this is such a fantastic, emotive, epic song.

Thanks so much for posting this Paul. PE are one of my favourite bands. Unfortunately (in my opinion) the re-recorded songs for the 1987 album aren’t as good as the original tracks. To over-produced for my liking. They were great synth/guitar tracks, but adding the heavy drums etc. completely changes them, and I personally don’t like them.
But as I said, thanks Paul, some will love them. 🙂👍

Hearing these songs, I keep scratching my head and wondering why they weren’t bigger here. I’ll never understand why certain artists make it while others don’t. Thanks Paul for your passion for Pseudo Echo!!

Wow we’re not worthy, lol!! I’m really loving the production of these mixes! I love the AOR Americanized techno rock sound they adopted for this album and the singles. Should have been much bigger hits here in the States! Thank you for another meticulous transfer, and thank you for this artist deep dive. You really put Pseudo Echo on the map for me!
