Hello, thanks for this post.
I have noticed that when I play the flacs of this page in my Jet audio player, the slider to locate any point of the song does not work.
I have tried other players and if it works perfectly.
I do not know what will happen.

I am loving this – thank you so very much!

I’ve just been listening to a lot of Thompson Twins remixes which are great during these darker days!

It got me thinking you haven’t yet posted the Thompson Twins / Deborah Harry remixes for ‘I Want That Man’.

A worthy post if you have it as the mixes are great!

Keep safe!
x

Thanks for your website and cool music. May I make two music suggestions…

Paris – Another Sad Affair

Imho Another Sad Affair is one of the greatest non pop hits of the 1980s. It’s a genuine classic.

Kenny Everett – Snot Rap

Funny disco pop song by the late British DJ and comic Kenny Everett. He was the first radio presenter to play Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody on UK radio.

“Goldmine” is part of my 12-inch collection, of course (standard sleeve, though). I love it and I love the additional work by remix God Shep Pettibone. And then again, whenever I listen to the song itself I think to myself that it could have been done better. I can´t put my finger on it but a certain “oomph!” is missing from the track. But never mind, I like it. And now I have the remix and the dub mix in pristine quality. The weekend can come 😉

This is a wonderful single by the Pointer Sisters and yes, it should have been a bigger hit. I’m just so happy to have the dub version with the club version. Thanks Paul and have a very nice weekend!

The Pointer Sisters had been releasing music since the early ’70s, then the early 80s they caught fire, and by end of ’85 they were done. I loved all their hits but they were around for quite a long time before their 1986 downward spiral. 15 years is a long time for an artist/band to stay relevant. The vast majority in Top 40/Pop and even Rock probably average 3 years. People just move on with their tastes and/or the scene just moves to different styles of music. People also grow up…I was 10 in 1980 when they released their first… Read more »
