I’ve had the Planet P album for ages (eventually replacing it with CD) but I didn’t know there was a remix on this one. Thanx Paul! (And as long as I’m posting, another plea for a re-rip of Supertramp’s “I’m Beggin’ You.” The link’s been broken for years.)

Oh wow, this is just too much. Over here in England the Planet P albums never really got any press, airtime, or marketing, i’m not even sure if the albums were officially released here. I found out about Planet P because i had a friend who had a friend owned a record shop. I love your sight it’s got so much great stuff on it, but i can not believe this. Thank you so much.

L.O.V.E. this song!!! One of my very favorites not just of the 80s, but of all times. Do yourself a favor and download this tune then go to Peter Schilling’s Major Tom for the perfect DJ segue. Thanks Paul!!!

Great post and always loved the Kevorkian touch on the 12″ mixes. I recall seeing this video on MTV in the early 80s often then after the Challenger accident it rarely played probably because the video had a guy in a space helmet blowing up. Must see video and check out the one for Planet P’s “Static” if you can find it online. There was a Tony Carey tribute site that had Carey and Planet P videos at one point though not sure if still up.

Well, I have to tell you Paul, that after this sonic crescendo I just had, that I am such in a fantastic mood. I love this song. I discovered it when it first came out back in my college days and it always put me under its spell. Like you said, it soars and makes one feel tingly all over. And, boy, the dance mix is superb and out-of-this-world!! And, that dubb version is so intense with those great booming beats!! I love this record and thank you once again for immortalizing it on your site in such exquisite sound.… Read more »
