He was the lead singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist for the 1980s band Galaxy. “Ain’t Nothing But a House Party” was mixed by Pete Hammond and produced by Stock / Aitken / Waterman. In the Uk the single peaked at #60, in the US it reached #41 on the Billboard dance chart and #92 R&B.

Great version! I was wondering if this was the same song that J. Geils did on “Bloodshot”,and was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was it the same song,but that it was taken in a much different direction than I am used to hearing. but Cherry Pop 12″ Anthology was missing – The pina colada mix in dub (6.24)

This is such a great feel good song and the production by Stock Aitken Waterman is sheer awesome. I have another brilliant mix of this that combines “Showing Out” by Mel & Kim. OMG Paul…did you know that the Tracie Spencer PWL Remixes are nowhere to be found in digital format? Not even on those various artists CD compilation released in Europe. This will be great, not to mention a rare release! The FunKim Mel Remix which was mention by above poster was also a wonderful remix. Hopefully you can get that in the future. Thanks for this release. I, and i’m sure all PWL purists will be waiting for the Tracie Spencer PWL remix!
Sorry Paul, my misspelling. It’s Love my Way by Rik Le Vay. It’s a HiNRG cover of the brilliant Psychedelic Furs song. It appeared on a compilation album released over here in the UK during 1984. Seems it came from Stock Aitken Waterman. Maybe it was made purely for the album as I can’t seem to locate it anywhere else.
