Burning The Ground Exclusive 1987
“One Look (One Look was Enough),” released in 1987, is a quintessential dance anthem by San Francisco-based Hi-NRG artist Paul Parker. Produced by Parker himself alongside Man Parrish, this single took the dance floors by storm and secured Parker his second #1 on the Billboard Dance Chart. With its pulsating beats, electrifying synth lines, and Parker’s unmistakable, powerful vocals, “One Look” exemplifies the freestyle and Hi-NRG styles that dominated the late 80s. I’m a Hi-NRG and Freestyle music fan, too. So thank you very much for this.
Very late to this, but wanted to say thank you for this! I didn’t realize it was a #1 hit on the Dance chart, and I can see why. I hope everyone here had a great weekend!!
I woke up to this glorious record today!! Wow, Paul, I know you and Martika praised this record some months ago while you posted another, Paul Parker gem, so I am delighted that it’s finally here! I am, as you know, a huge gushing fan of Electro, Freestyle and Hi-NRG, so this record makes me ecstatic beyond words! You are phenomenal in all the work you do!!
Have a great weekend, Paul, Retro Hound, Martika, Song_and_Dance, DJ XREY, Daniel, ING, Fred, and the rest!!
Jeff
I hope you have an even more fantastic weekend!!! Like you, I’m very ecstatic about Electro, Freestyle and Hi-NRG. I’ve been really getting into a lot of 80s electronic music and proto-techno stuff lately. I love looking up 90s Techno/House bands like SNAP, etc. and see what their prior projects were. I found some very interesting music that way.
I’m even more ecstatic about having this record in superb quality! Paul Parker is the king of NRG!!! THANK YOU for another amazing 12″, PAUL!!!
I hope everyone here has a wonderful weekend!
This reminds me of Give Me Tonight
I agree that it has the same vibe.
Thanks Paul. That cover looks like a movie poster for the lost film “Indiana Jones and the Golden Balls”.
lol 🙂
Thanks so much Paul!
I haven’t heard this slice of heaven for years. OMG it takes me back.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Cheers, John
You’re welcome, John. Have a lovely weekend 🙂
