Same here in Belgium.
It was huge at that time.
I still own the single while a friend of mine has that 12″.
Hi Paul,
Interesting selection. I remember a friend of mine that was a huge frankie fan, and he let me borrow this. I was wondering what it was, as I had never heard of propaganda. I thought it was some official release, but later found out it wasnt. Still a good mix.
thanks

Frankie says – Thanks!
KILLER RECORD!!!! One of the earliest mashups! I loved both those songs so much at the time that this mashup was a dream come true! I bought the full CD after buying the 12″, which featured another good mashup: Notorious Medley With Le Freak!
Soooooo glad that you decided to rip this. I already have it, but I’m sure your version will be way better! THANK YOU!!!
This is a blast from the past! I knew the two hits separately, but I don’t think I knew about this medley. I’m excited, especially for the radio edit, which I think is pretty rare. Thank you Paul!!
You’re welcome, Retro Hound. I hope you like this mash-up 🙂
This was huge in European clubs, of course due to the fact they combined this two monster tracks. I think it was a pretty decent production work, ok the male singer gets a little bit overexcited near the ending of the song, but this became an 80s classic track in this part of the world, thanks to the original timeless production work from Trevor Horn with Propaganda and FGTH !!!
I knew this was huge in Europe nut it never caught on here in the USA its a fun record.
Now THIS one definitely qualifies for the “totally obscure ’80s” logo!
I thought I’d heard everything concerning FGTH by now…but NOoooo….
Saw this while on lunch and my testicles tightened!! So happy and intrigued by this. Also thinking about the comment concerning its use in an adult film!! You’re always surprising us Paul with cool and different records!! Can’t wait for a listen!!
Jeff
Dammmm Jeff! Hope you’re OK 🙂
Oh My Gosh!! Your reply got me hysterical!! I love it!! No, I’m fine, perhaps a bit too excited and explicit sounding! I admit I do get carried away at times with my reactions, but when I get excited over music —— WATCH OUT!!
Have a great day, DJ XREY!!
Jeff
I was not familiar with this release, so I looked it up on YouTube, thought this comment about it was pretty funny, “I saw this mix just recently in an adult movie it worked fantastically” – I cannot vouch for the accuracy of that comment…. 🙂
Oh wow. I thought I was the only one to hang onto a copy of this one. 😀
