Burning The Ground Exclusive 1989
“Flesh and Blood” is a song performed by New wave band Oingo Boingo that was featured in the movie Ghostbusters II and its Soundtrack album.
In 1990 a different mix of “Flesh and Blood” appeared in the band’s seventh studio album “Dark at the End of the Tunnel”.
In the United States, the song was only released as a 12″ promotional single as far as I know the “Extended and Instrumental” versions are vinyl only.

Thanks for the upload! but the password is incorrect (for the 24bits password inside the zip). Also the same for any of the latest releases by you.
I purchased my first VCR in 1983 from Crazy Eddie’s along with the movie “The Wall” by Pink Floyd. At the same time I also purchased my first CD player along with the CD “Only a Lad” by Oingo Boingo. Both bands remain in my top 10. Don’t ask about the prices paid; insane.
I will hold off until Halloween to listen to this one as that is my official Devo and Oingo Boingo day. Thanks Paul.
Halloween would be a great day for both Bill. Thank you for sharing your memories with us very cool.
Thanks for the fun post, Paul! Danny Elfman and Jeff Lord-Alge on the same 12″ and a Promo AND NEVER RELEASED is a win-win-win-win for me. 🙂 On a side note, 1 request please: Grandmaster Flash – White Lines. There were numerous 12″s of this release with some fantastic mixes and dubs.
Thanks again for OB and have a great day!
I will have to check my copy of White Lines Fred. If my memory is correct Sugarhill Records were not the best pressings but I will do my best to get it posted.
Wow Paul! This is indeed a special gift. As a longtime fan of Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo this is a real treat and thrill for me!! It seems like the band are having a resurgence lately. I mean with the re-mastered albums from Rubellan Remasters to Mr. Elfman releasing new music. These guys are a great party band and so much more so during the black and orange season. Thank you Paul for this gem of a 12-inch. So looking forward to hearing these mixes!!
Jeff
You’re welcome, Jeff these are really good mixes a shame they have gone unnoticed.
Everything Jeff said! Really love the rip & soundscape on this. Every time Boingo shows up on your page, it’s like Halloween Christmas. Should you ever be inclined, I’d love to hear your rip for the 12″ers for “Skin,” “Out of Control,” or particularly, “Pain.” Thank you so much.
Thank you, Jon I will see what I can do.
I knew a guy back in 1986 who got high on LSD. All he’d say for those couple of days was
“Oingo Boingo.”
He wasn’t a fan of the band. He just liked the name. So he kept repeating it, “Oingo Boingo,” every few minutes, for a couple of days.
Maybe he thought it was some magical incantation, ala “Abracadabra.”
Anyways.
Thank you Paul, for Flesh And Blood. And for the weird memory triggers.
You’re welcome, Muff Diver. Thanks for sharing that memory with us.
