“Red Lipstick” was co-written and featured backing vocals by American singer/songwriter Michael Sembello best known for his hit single “Maniac”.

Never heard of him. Great song and nice remixes. Funny to hear Michael Sembello on backing vocals. I´ve just looked Batteau up and read that to my surprise Manhattan Transfer´s song “Walk In Love” was written and released earlier by him. I love that song, too.

This is just awesome Paul! Another obscure pick of the very best courtesy of you. I really dig that this is a New Wave piece that has Michael Sembello on backing vocals. Also love that Bruce Forest did the remix because I do like this guy. He used to write great record reviews in the old magazine, Dance Music Report too, so you’re taking me back to my early days when I devoured all the new music from the 80’s.
