Funny, I have the version by Holy Ghost! – I had no idea it was a cover. I think I like the original better. 🙂
Thanks!
With these two Ministry early singles, it made me reflect on the entire “With Sympathy” album. I really loved this LP and all of the songs. So, I started looking on the internet and found a great article that I’d like to share with you guys. Check it out, ’cause it’s very interesting.

Thank you Jeff I will check it out 🙂
Wow, is that Al Jourgensen on the front sleeve?! He looks like Chris Isaak or someone. 😀
Thanks Paul, this Ministry stuff is a rare treat and a great education.
So right about Al, Jermajesty. He does look a little like Chris Isaak. I love this look of him. Oh, and that voice too. Now it’s shredded and hoarse and even, a bit demonic. He says that Arista controlled him and his sound. Too bad he won’t revisit his back catalog and perform them the way he wanted to. But, I have a feeling (if I maybe so brave) that this is the way they were supposed to sound. Oh well, I could speculate for years and never know. So lucky and elated and proud that we have DjPaulT to… Read more »
Really giving us the super hard-to-find stuff, these past few days.
So great to finally have decent encodes of these. Great work, as always!
you’re welcome Will 🙂
OMG! Amazing sound quality! So awesome, Paul! The 2012 Eastworld reissue/remaster of “With Sympathy” features the extended remix version of “I Wanted to Tell Her”, but it is brick-walled big time. This sounds excellent! Also, your 12″ transfer/remaster features the “Tongue-Tied Mix”, which is missing from the 2012 release. I’m so glad having these rare mixes in excellent quality at last! Nice job! Thank you!
This rip Bellenger1981 is glorious and gorgeous!! Nobody quite does it like Paul! Ministry has always been a favorite of mine, especially these early singles. He really changed so much over the years. I do like some of his later stuff, but these tracks are my favorites. Maybe Al really does hate this early output, but I don’t think he could ever argue about how Paul made his early incarnation sound PHENOMENAL!!
Jeff
Thank you Bellenger1981 🙂
Great stuff, Paul. Of all the bands/artists you’ve posted on your website, I can’t think of one that’s changed as radically as Uncle Al from his origins to where he’s at today. Thanks for these classic Ministry posts.
I agree with you Miran0019 🙂
I also didn’t realize this even existed, thanks for this AWESOME share Paul!!
